We've wasted enough lives and money on this fiasco. We used billions of tax payer dollars to destroy and rebuild Iraq. These wars are even more useless than Vietnam was. Bring this stupidity to an end NOW.

There is a really good saying "If you dont feed your own army, then you will be feeding someone else’s". I would much rather feed our army, the only request is that we start winning wars.

I am an American, we like to win. But these wars where our troops need to sit & wait for corrupt politicians to play out their games while the troops are in danger & morale drops need to END NOW!!!!

AMERICA NEEDS TO WIN THIS WAR, tighten the control on Afgan/Paki administration & stop protecting drug & war lords. The people are being fed by Al-Qaida that the Western Presence is temporary & thus people are scared to deal with them. We need to show that American presence is not going to be temporary, we need to show that we are willing to provide jobs & security for these countries so that America can fix the mistakes made by the British. WE NEED TO WIN THIS WAR OR HISTORY WILL REPEAT ITSELF & ANOTHER EMPIRE WILL FALL AS IT LEAVES AFGANISTAN.

Hopefully this may make some people realise that what the occupation forces are doing in Afghan isn't all heroic and great, but a load of rubbish, shame and a disgrace to our so called 1st world nations.

Officially, I cannot agree with you. Personally though, I do agree. If you knew my occupation you would understand why I say that.

I will agree with some of you folks commentaries BUT I am amazed that some of you have such disdain for the men and women that have the guts to sacrifice their lives and livelihoods for your right to vent/rant and condemn them.

I have seen nothing in any of your commentaries that say "THANK YOU" to the men and women of the USA that are shedding their BLOOD for what they believe in.

Their sacrifices, whether it be the burnt and disfigured bodies, missing limbs or whatever they GAVE, they gave in the name of AMERICA. I challenge any of you commentators to come to San Antonio and see what I have seen at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

I CHALLENGE anyone of your to go up to any of those TRUE men and women and tell them that they joined because they are "poor and broke" or call them "terrorists" and see how you are received.

Their sacrifices -- gives each of us a right to vent, rant or express an opinion.

I thank them and the ones before them for their service and their sacrifices. Some gave it all -- GOD Bless Our Troops!

To destroy a Democracy, you first have to destroy the education system by setting up dumb down standardized test. In addition, you take Social Science and Art programs, which teaches you citizenship, history (which is doom to repeat since we are going back to the 1920s era of Corporate Power) and creativity which are tools for Democracy OUT of the schools curriculum. Then create a college environment based on TRAINING instead of LEARNING. That way the people will vote for anyone (Bush, Obama, etc) who would just follow Wall Street, or be bought off by them.

The second thing you do is to put those same people in undesirable living conditions, which includes no adable HEALTH CARE or GOOD PAYING JOBS. Then to keep those people in line, you must turn this country into a police state fighting phantom wars (f.e., the drug war), which destroys the same freedoms that the government were suppose to guaranteed the people.

These are all symptoms of a Totaltarian Police State.

Because they are NOT fighting for our freedoms unfortunately. I do salute our men and women for fighting, even so I do not support it. These men and women were bamboozled to fight a war based on a lie. They come from the same places that I come from ( a low income background), and it always amazes me that these men and women who lives in total OPPRESSION by our economic system are the only ones that is willing to fight for that same system. It is sad to say that none of them learned the lessons of VIETNAM, or why half the homeless population are vets. None of them learned that they too will be used like cattle on a open prairie.

And in most cases, they join the military because there is no other option. Unlike the 1970s, there is no good paying factory or service jobs that they can work to supprot a family, or even themselves with. The only things (and especially in Rust Belts like Toledo, Flint, Detroit, Cleveland, Yougstown, etc.) that I see in the inner city are liquor stores and military recruitments, especially at the schools, so they can exploited the future economic pains of students and yound men and women. I'm sure this is happening in poor rural areas as well.

Oh well, as long as my colleagues continue to recieve TRILLIONS from both wars for profit (Terror and Drug War)......
