Its really isn't about Bhuddist or Islam, this insurgency is about territory.

Muslim Extremist should be careful on how they attack their target. Don't make it a religious war, where dominate bhuddist in southern thailand can also do indescriminate killing of unarm muslim also.

You thais have issue with using violences as solution for everything. Take a hard look at the south... why is it that only tourist area and central thailand is heavily modernized? All other region are dirt poor.
