A 29 year Chinese female winning the French Open whose career was rather unremarkable makes me feel that she may have abused steroids.
I hope the Tennis association would look into this. The Chinese are not known for their tennis, they are not supposed to be this good in tennis. Just watch she will flopped in the wimbleton if she forgets her roids. Their females are noted Golddiggers, they are not noted for athletic prowess.

But no one knows.I think you should have a inspection into the games and maybe you can disclose shocking fact no one has realized ever before.Go ahead , MAYBE you can make it.

Look I have watch many Chinese played, even Michael Chang did not hit the ball very hard. Li Na hits the ball hard that's why I feel that she may have use roids. also she has never done the likes of this before, winning a grand Major. It just does not look right.

As I mentioned before... it is unusual for an older player with limited past success to when a Grand Slam... but again Francesca Schiavone is even older and also didn't do much before winning in 2010 and now she's back again.

Of course... Schiavone is not as power-hitter like Li Na. Still in 2009... if you had to pick someone to reach the French open finals in back to back years, I don't think she would have been anywhere near you top ten list.

This is more like what I expect, Li Na got knocked out of the Wimbleton in the second round. Chinese are not known for tennis.

If you have a creditable proof that Li Na has been taking steroids or any other performance boosting drug then you should publish it and not hide behind mealy mouthed accusations with no justification.

In tennis athletes are seldom tested for steroids but I am pretty sure Li Na took them. Look at her results in the French and then look at the Wimbleton 2011 results.

That's why China haters like Miro,SpongeBob,Drgunzet,
Nill,Nair Arun et al look down at China. Chinese athletes in several occassions got caught red handed using steroids, the results may have been tainted though that's what I have to give them.

You're missing the point, Snowie. We don't give two shits about these fools. Were you under the mistaken impression we are trying to impress them?

Look at the result of the last Olympics. Does that not suggest that America couldn't get away with fielding a steroid popping team any more?

Yes I agreed that Americans have taken designer steroids like Lance Armstrong and Michael Johnson that are not detectable in the past but we have turn a new page in the last ten years. Winning is important but morals, ethics and integrity is even more important.

Tennis is a game of skill and judgement not a game of strength sometime in Tennis the underdogs win look at Goran Ivanisevic he won wimbledon once and then totally did nothing after that there are many "one hit wonders" in tennis it does not mean they are taking drugs!.

Yes, Li Na is very muscular, but I don't see how her Wimbledon results compared to her French Open results show evidence that she took steroids (is you have before/after photos of her from like 2009 vs 2011 that might be more useful).

The French Open was only two weeks ago, if she was using steroids the performance boost should have let her continue her winning streak (wouldn't that be a more obvious sign of performance enhancement) plus she also reached the Australian Open finals 6 months ago. To me it looks more like she caught a bunch of lucky breaks the last couple of months, but also chokes under pressure a lot (actually, if you ask me... virtually all of the women tennis players seem wildly inconsistent in their performances).

Turn a new page in the last ten years?

Lance Armstrong won 7-titles through 2005 (only 6 years ago) and placed third in 2009 (2 years ago). Tyler Hamilton admitted to taking PEM to win his 2000 gold medal, and was suspended in 2006 and 2009 for testing positive. Floyd Landis was stripped of his Tour de France win in 2006 (five years ago).

In baseball, again there is still doping in the last tens years... most notably Alex Rodriguez (2001-2003) and Barry Bond (2001-2007).

In football you have Shawn Merriman (2006) and Brian Cushing (2009)

In track, Justin Gatlin was banned in for 4 years for testing positive (2006).

Just to be clear... I agree that morals, ethics, and integrity are more important than winning... but it is clear that not all athletes (American or not) believe this to be true. I definitely believe that Chinese athletes could be using performance enhancing substances to gain an unfair advantage... but I don't make random accusations without basic proof.
