GHT wrote: <quoted text>For the rest of society, yes maybe that would apply but not for someone who is a role model, someone who advertisers spend millions on promoting their products. No, Martina is held to higher standards and fully accepted that responsibility when she signed and cashed the first check of her first multi-million dollar deal. She agreed to be clean of drugs period. Now, she has tarnished not only herself, but the tour and most importantly the advertisers who depended on here. If you want to take drugs, do it after you retire....ohh...wait, ironically she just retired LOL. What does that tell you? GHT you're from Portland, the capital of the hydroponic universe. Come on lighten up...life is short. We will all be dead in a few decades and no one will remember that you even existed. Snort it all!!!

Tom-2265 wrote: The end of that prepared statement closed with "I have never taken drugs." Seems quite unambiguous to me. Not saying she's clean, but her denial is strong. <quoted text> Hey Tom, are you from Zurich or one of the most naive people on Earth? Are you also the leader of the "Floyd Landis was framed" committee? Anyone that thinks she wasn't pulling an all-nighter snorting shoe strings off of a full-length mirror is a moron. These tests are NEVER wrong...EVER! Any idea what kind of litigation these testing organizations are under if they are wrong? Grow up morons...she's a cokehead...big friggin deal.

A long time fan wrote: What a sad story. Martina Hingis has been one of the most honorable tennis players for years. Having witnessed her character in both victory and defeat, she obviously would never take cocaine for any reason. I will always believe in her, and it's sad to see her retire. Honorable?? Are you kidding? So honorable that she tried a trick serve in the French Open when she was losing horribly...even the French booed her. Her racist innuendos regarding the Williams sisters. Yeah she is a really good example of a champion. She was probably freebasing the night before she lost to a loser like Laura Granville. Even her manager couldn't answer why it took her so long to comment on something that happened in JUNE!!!! It's a shame you live your life in denial. You're right though..and there is no way OJ killed two people either.

Do you know how to read? Do you know what "not saying she's clean" means? Or that I was responding specifically to a post questioning her words, not whether she's guilty? Reading your words, I can understand I was a bit too subtle for you... Patrick wrote: <quoted text> Hey Tom, are you from Zurich or one of the most naive people on Earth? "Not saying she is clean" implies guilt. "But her denial is strong" implies innocence. Most clear thinking people would have a difficult time discerning your intent.

It's not too difficult, really. I sure do think it's likely she's guilty, therefore said "not saying she's clean". The poster I was responding to (which wasn't you by the way) was questioning the strength of her "I believe I'm innocent" statement. I was simply pointing out that her protestations of innocence were actually quite strong; she closed her prepared statement by saying she had never taken drugs, therefore "her denial was strong". It's not too difficult, really. Patrick wrote: <quoted text> Tom are you a lawyer? Your abilty to say nothing while writing is very advanced. "Not saying she is clean" implies guilt. BTW, I am not from Portland genius, but I am sorry, my fault, I forgot you are an idiot. 600 million sperm and he is the one that survived??!!

Thanks GHT, I believe your commentary is correct. In the public eye can be a total nightmare. Yes, she may have used, but will never see any justice done in this dog eat dog media circus and readers who believe everything they read...
