There is nothing beautifully human about waving a tennis racket over an Asian lady's head and threatening her is anything but "beautifully human". I would like to know what all of these propagandists are being paid to spout all of damage control.
Serena didn't wave a tennis racket over anyone's head, she pointed it at the judge, and she has stated multiple times now that she did not threaten to kill the line judge. She screamed at the woman, and told her what she would LIKE to do with the tennis ball, but she never threatened her life. It's a small distincton, but one worth noting.
There have been other players in the past who have made equally, or more, offensive remarks without any where near the fallout this one has caused. Connors, McEnroe, and Nastasie were all defaulted from games and/or tournaments because of their threatening manner, language, and actions. This is hardly a first.
For a tennis player who only plays one or two tennis tournaments a year to threaten a minority Asian judge the way that this tennis player did and then smerk and laugh about it after wards is terrible.
It's obvious you know very little about professional tennis. In order to play professional tennis in any of the WTA sanctioned events you must abide by their rules. One of their many rules is playing in mandatory tournaments, and playing in a minimum number of tournaments a year, barring injury.
Serena has played in 14 tournaments this year, including the 4 majors, 2 of which she won. She is widely accepted among tennis fans and her peers as the best female tennis player in the world.
She was not "smirking" when asked about her actions and outburst during the open. She was smiling in disbelief when the interviewers were asking her if she threatened the line judge, which she has repeatedly stated she did not.
I don't understand why it matters to you that the line judge was Asian. Serena's actions were reprehensible regardless of the race of the judge.
There is a whole lot of these Americanized black populace that now believe that they are gods and no longer have to abide by the laws of this country. Can someone explain this is?
Sure. As soon as you explain the lynchings by the Ku Klux Klan, the Oklahoma bombimg by Timothy McVeigh, the Columbine high school shootings, the Red Lake Senior High School shootings, the Virginia Tech massacre, and the Texas dragging death of James Byrd. All crimes committed by persons other than "Americanized black populace".
What's that? You say they're not the same? Not related? Exactly. There are a whole lot of PEOPLE, reagrdless of race, in this country that don't feel like they have to abide by the law of the land.
Serena Williams did not commit any crime. She lost her cool in the heat of a TENNIS MATCH and screamed a profanity-laced tirade at a line judge. That has NOTHING to do with, and can hardly be compared to, a thug on a street corner, or in a classroom robbing or killing someone. Get a grip.
