This kids gunna end up in a big psycho mess.Mia's parents need a kick in their arses for getting her to scream or "grunt" when playing.
Some one needs to get this kid to stop the stupid act of imitating all the other dopey screaming grunters in womens tennis.
It's total crap, and ineffective in actually helping a shot being performed better.
In fact the effort put into deliberately screaming at every shot is going to deplete a players energy.
Also, and sadly for Mia,in the long run, everybody will begin to intensely dislike this kid,as she becomes a precocious brat.

While I agree that the grunting/screaming is getting ridiculous, there is a purpose behind it.

It is a teaching tool for young kids. The problem with that is, when they grow up, they have a hard time not doing it and maintaining the same level of play.

It is the same reason that they teach Kiai in martial arts.

1) When you are performing strenuous exercise, forceful expulsion of air from the lungs makes the action less difficult.

2) Learning to exhale at the right time causes the student to focus on the task at hand.(placing a kick in the right spot)

If you have ever seen a weightlifting competition they yell when they are lifting for the same reason.

If you ever do pushups, try doing them holding your breath or purposely breating in when you push up. You won't be able to do as many pushups as you will by exhaling when you push up.

You are a moron. People like you should stop writing mindless bullshit. You're obviously a bitter and miserable dickhead who has far too much time on his hands. Since whe did you become the child expert?

I hope little MIA has nothing but success in life, makes Australia pround & sticks it right up your ass.

Some Aussie you are.

The screaming actually does have a purpose. As you hit the ball it makes a sound. That sound differs from where on the racket you hit the ball. And if you hit the ball at a different part, it goes somewhere else or does something else. The screaming as actually so that your opponent won't hear the sound the ball makes on your racket, so that they won't know where you hit it and thus what it will do.

At least that what I was told.=/ It still sounds ridiculous but there is a reason behind it.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Libra

You know what they say about this being the season of goodwill to all men? Well, you get the chance to put it into action today by being understanding, tolerant and compassionate towards the people you meet. This doesn't mean you should condone anything awful that they do, but simply that you need to look beyond that to the larger picture.
