Of course not.
There probably some teachers and coaches that have personal views, habits, desires, or lifestyles... that I would probably most certainly disapprove of!
But as long as they keep it to themselves, and not be involved in the actually crime or act, I don't really care.
Homosexuality is perverted.
But you have a number of teachers, social workers, coaches, etc: that are, or have professed to be 'Gay'.
As long as they don't bring it to work or school...flaunting and promoting it... no problem.
It's strange that our society will accept or even condone homosexuals brazenly coming out of the closet...yet persecute and destroy the life of someone who has only viewed (another form of perversion)in privacy.
To me...this is about the Right to(and of)Privacy.
As long as you aren't involved with the actual perpetrating or actively promoting the act...that's between them and God.
I just don't think that should be a criminal offense.
I'm not sure how you made the leap of logic that he can be defined as a homosexual, which agreed is not against the law, it is a sexual preferance and choice. However being a pedophile is against the law, and viewing and storing the material he had on his PC, that too is against the law. It is compounded by the fact that he is a person of authority and influence of children due to his teaching and coaching role. Personal privacy is a right, however when that right crosses the line of perversion it then becomes a crimanal offense. I think the majority would agree that they would rather have a professed gay person as a teacher or coach, rather than a perverted pedophile in a position of influence or authority.
