Way to go VimetX! And way to go Texas Jury.

Big Bro Microsoft is one of the most aggressive and abusive companies out there and deserves to be kicked swiftly and often. Why anyone continues to buy their terrible products when there are much better alternatives is another question. But I think they are on the wane...

The sad thing is it will take years for them to get a penny from Microsoft. Just like the Dish vs Tivo lawsuit. These things seem to never end.

You can't modify a noun with another noun, idiot! It's "megalomaniacal" thief or else "megalomaniac and thief".
Bill Gates always reminded me of "The Mule" in Isaac Asimov's _Foundation_Trilogy_.
Hey Stoner Bob, would you please refrain from making idiotic statements on this board?
Of course you can modify a noun with another noun...for example: "mountain bike"...hmmmm?
Or in your case: "white trash idiot..."

Sounds like he got paid by CIA to develop the programs. I think the American TAXPAYER should get something if this is the case.

Yo Sentinel and Jennifer, curious about why a Scotts Valley company is suing Msoft in East Texas?

Or is that too much to ask?

Gotta love our system. The one with the money has to lose in order to pay the attorneys.

indeed, patent t r o l l s ... when this story surfaced a year back or so, I went over the patents in question. All were heavily obfuscated descriptions of basic security technology. if these guys 'win' and validate these bogus patents, then ALL internet security will owe them royalties for NOTHING.

the $100B stuff they claim to have is nothing but smoke and mirrors. secure DNS is bogus. so is Gabriel or whatever they call it, just obvious applications of existing industry practices.

the US Patent Office is totally being abused by software patents like this.

Stac got a $100 million judgment against MSFT and wound up accepting a $100 million equity investment as settlement: infringer becomes business partner.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Libra

Be very careful when handling financial matters today because not everything is as straightforward as it seems. For instance, someone may tell you about a fail-safe way of making money but neglect to mention all the reasons why it's totally illegal. There could also be mistakes if you're spending money, such as being short-changed or overcharged. So watch out!
