had the same problem...had it for two months and tried to turn it on and NOTHING!

I have a fix though. I unplugged the battery and plugged the speaker in and it worked without the battery....then plugged the battery in and it started charging.

A beating, but it works!

My friend had one purchased from Brookstone and it sounded wonderful. I loved it and always wanted one. I also purchased my Arius wireless speaker system from Linen N Things and called the Company. I had many of the same problems mentioned above. No sound. I sent it back and had the item insured for delivery confirmation. It has been two weeks and I have heard nothing. I got a good deal on it in the store and had been wanting one a long time. However, it did not work and I sent it back to the company, Matador USA in Pasedena, California. If I get no response I will also contact the trade commission and pursue other legal avehues for the item to be replaced.

I say we all get together and start a class action law suit against the company if they do not honor their warranty. I am sure their are a lot of people out there other than us, so let's go for it 150-200.00 is a lot of money.
Besides the representative at the company should not be sharing privateaccount information about the financialaccount of Linens N thinga even if they went out of business. How uunprofessional is that?

I purchased 2 speakers over a year ago. They have worked fantastic. I am not sure if most people realize that they are for a computer. You just plug in where your old speakers go and use them through your media player. They do have a built in timer, that if there is NO sound trasmitting through the speaker, they will shut off.As long as you keep the sound going they work just fine.I just used my 2 and my brothers one, at a party this weekend, no D.J. was needed. They covered the room no problem. We are looking to find more.It stinks that we can no longer get them at LNT's. Sorry to hear that some people are getting ripped off in the process.

Federal law mandates they cover the warranty. They are violating privacy laws by telling us that Linens N Things did not pay, and violating federal law by not covering their warranty.
Anyone want to go together to start a class action lawsuit against these companies? I'm normally not for such a thing but the person that I spoke with from the manufacturer was hateful and disrespectful.
I purchased mine on 12-28-2008 from an internet store. I'm having the exact same issue with mine. At first, I thought it was weak batteries not being fully charged. But after trouble shooting it over a week or so, it was not the batteries, but the main unit itself just turing off after 2 minutes. I will be calling Matador International Inc on Monday, 4/20/2009, at (877)350-4148 for the first time regading this issue.

How do you link multiple speakers together? Do you use one transmitter and it happens magically?

Taking the battery out definitely has worked so far. Haven't plugged batteries back in because I don't need them, but I am on about an hour straight without shutoff. I also switched the solar power to off.

THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER! THEY ARE ACTUALLY GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND NOT HONORING ABOUT 25 OF THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH DEFECTIVE SPEAKERS. THE GUY THAT RUNS THAT OFFICE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING, THEY DONT EVEN SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH. SORRY IF ANY OF YOU RETURNED SPEAKERS TO THEM, YOU WONT GET THEM BACK OR YOUR MONEY....I KNOW I USE TO WORK THERE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS SO UNFAIR THAT THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR DEFECTED SPEAKERS. NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FORM THEM, THEIR NEW NAME IS "ARIUS ELECTRONIC CORPORATION" THEY GOT RID OF "MATADOR USA LLC" BECAUSE OF THEIR BAD REPUTATION. SORRY TO ALL.

Received one as a birthady gift from my son. Sounds great but turns off after 2 minutes. I took my battery out but it still shuts off. Too bad, nice design and sound. I called customer service, HA what service. The lady would not talk clearly enough so I could write her e mail address so she took mine, surprise no e mail from her. Any other ideas please post. I am up for a class action lawsuit for companies like this.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
