I have an LG front loader and have the same problem with my towels smelling like mildew. Nothing is working. I clean the tube and the drain at least every other week NOT once a month like they tell you. I use the Affresh that home depot sell and that does not work either. I WILL TRY the Smellywasher product because I am so tempted to BURN this washer and buy a new one. It is not worth the money spent on them. My cousin in Dallas and her friend are also having the same problem and feel the same. I always discourage anyone i meet from buying a front loader.

Thanks for the info! I've been thinking about buying a front loader, but I think I'm going to stick with a top loader! Anything but a Maytag!
