I am closing my eBay account today. eBay and PayPal (Yes, that IS eBay)are treating us, the buyers and sellers who made them, very shoddily. PayPal owes me money and they are refusing to send it based on an error which THEY have in their system. I cancelled my listings because I spent OVER an hour with my bank and PayPal over PAYPALS error and they would NOT repair THEIR error.
Then "Kevin" their VERY RUDE so-called customer service supervisor started making unprofessional commnts like "Is this a REAL bank?", etc.
Oh, but they could fix it in "thirty seconds if you just open a PayPal" credit card. GET THIS, COULD FIX IT IN "THIRTY SECONDS", YES that WAS a quote from "Kevin". They could fixit THAT fast if I opened a new account with the PayPal credit card. REALLY...but they refused to fix THEIR error if I didn't get THEIR card!!!
So I cancelled my PayPal account, cancelled my eBay listings, sent apology notes to sellers explaining the problem, cancelled my eBay bids (because PaPal was NOT going to pay them), and closed my account.
AND, I feel so much BETTER. No more eBay stress!!! TRUE FREEDOM......
God bless all of us and help us to pull away from the venemous poison that eBay and PayPal have become.

Amen, I couldn't agree with you more Denise! I've been with ebay for almost 10 years, both seller & buyer. Not any more. The past week has been hell on earth. My son & I both are calling them quits. Way too much stress for me & ebay could care less. We're going to find a new venue, hopefully one that will treat their members with respect. And, you're right you do feel much better once you've made the decision. Good luck!

You can let the customer service and rules get to you. Just know that ebay and pay pal are always right and go about your business. Its a waste of time trying to fight them.
