Once you have money then some need power. And if he does not need either then he is just incompetent.Hate to tell you this, but Bush does not need the money. He's not interested in oil profits. I know you'll never see past your hate and pride, but it's the truth and just thought I'd mention it. Yes, I do know him personally.

all of you bush haters need to get off of your computer and go get involved in something that actually helps something out, instead of slamming bush because you are stuck with him either way for the rest of his term in office, you probably voted for him in the first place anyways so suck it up and do something positive. if you really cared that much about your country you would join the military and take an active role in the politics... not just complaining to no one on some forum. also all you anti war protestors you are wasting your time because if you haven't realized yet, we're not leaving iraq anytime soon, so do something to support the troops, even if you dont support the war, not just wasting your time standing around with signs outside government buildings and looking like a moron.

All we will get from Bush is enough lip service and a trickle of money that is tiny compared to what big oil gets in tax breaks and subsidies.
They will give just enough to deflect criticism. Now they have their token alternative energy policy. It will be paraded about and they will take color pictures of it and at the same time give more money and breaks to the most profitable business in America, Big Oil. |

Even without confidence in this administration, I thought it was noteworthy to hear anyone in office even giving lip service to alternative energy. When was the last time, 1979?
Kicking the imported oil habit now is a bit like the proverbial closing of the corral after the horses are gone: Exxon Valdez, rising asthma rates, war in Iraq. Still, the oil can't last forever, can it? If we Americans want a smooth transition, we should all increase our investments in alternative energy every year. Don't wait for our government to do it! |

I for one believe in voting with your dollars, after much research I moved my investments into small cap renewable energy stocks. Don't do anything on my advice though. I also invested in an efficient heating system and a regimen of modified temperatures and the wearing of a sweater and the riding of a motorcycle (in good weather), a six cylinder work truck with overdrive etc.
No I will not change the world by myself but I believe it gives me the right to Bitch without being hypocritical and it is interesting technology. |
