Another whack job! This is how liberals operate! This one thinks there is such a thing as man made global warming calling it “sound science” when even the scientist’s (the ones that don’t directly financially benefit from insisting there is such thing) can’t agree. And if the scientist working for this administration doesn’t agree he is fired. But I guess I am just too narrow minded to know when I am about to be scammed to the tune of 4 or 5 thousand per household for this unproven scamience. The only thing this whack job got right is we need Nuclear power; but not in the name of man made global warming. In the name of cost and efficiency.

There won't be any nukes untill Al Gore can figure out how to make a bundle on it like the carbon credits. What kind of people are we to let this crapola happen to us?

Any CO2 cap and trade scheme is a scam designed to enrich wall street and give power to politicians. The science does NOT support a CO2 calamity.
However, aggressive nuclear development is required for energy independence.[Energy independence would keep us out of unnecessary wars and would help our economy]. We need to streamline the process to get these nukes sited and licensed. Nuclear is safe and cost effective. We need to reprocess the fuel, like the French already do. It is ironic that the CO2 fear mongers don't support nuclear since it is their best hope to solve their 'problem'.

Have you noticed we have the highest electric rates in lower 48? This is contributing to the exodus of jobs from the area. Unfortunately, we don't have a ready supply of hydro, coal, or cheap natural gas. The obvious solution is to build new nukes. Doesn't Seabrook have room for a second reactor? The governor's plan to add huge wind farms will simply raise electric rates and drive more jobs from the area. Insanity!

France use nuclear power. So what is good enough for France is good enough for us.

The idea of nuclear as an interim power supply could be a good idea.
The only problem, is that humans are a lazy species and occasionally forget to progress fast enough, which is fairly evident at this moment.

Leave nuclear power working for too long and sure as eggs is eggs, future generations will curse their ancestors a lot more than we curse ours.

What's the point of replacing one problem with an even bigger one?

Don't be silly. At every moment there are people working hard on everything from understanding glaciers to curing cancer to designing a better toaster. War isn't easy. Climbing mountains isn't easy. Teaching teenagers isn't easy.

Sure a lot of people are lazy but if you think we're lazy as a species you need to make new friends.

The benefit of nuclear power is the small quantity of nuclear waste. If you got all your power from nuclear energy, over your lifetime, your nuclear waste would fill a 12oz. soda can.

You can't beat that, we need to go nuclear. Like France or Japan.

I doubt if it will happen with this administration unless they can find a way to tax it to to max.

It isn't a scam to enrich wall street. Wall Street would be devastated by this and as a result, millions of more people in poverty in the USA> Taxes<<<<< <<. Its ok to have them for the government to perform its functions as defined by the Constitution. THEY HAVE OVERSTEPPED THAT POWER! This is a scam to grab power from the people permanently. So many things they want to do to you. And now notice that the Health Care bill introduced by the Senate would fine people $1000 for not having health care coverage. Hmmmm. One way or the other, they are going to make THE PEOPLE PAY. It has nothing to do with Wall Street. They used that as a decoy so you wouldn't notice these other things they are trying to do to you.

This is why the Federal Government should not be involved with it. There are places in this country where wind energy would work, and some places it won't work. It won't replace all electrical power, and it shouldn't be expected to. But it can reduce the use of petroleum based fuels by 20$ or 30% and even more in some parts of the country. Solar Power could work to power places like Hospitals, nursing homes, etc. I bet you see the private sector move faster to alternative energies than the government sector, because the private sector actually researches the markets they operate in and find out if things like this are feasible and which ones are feasible. So they don't try to do something that won't make dollar signs. But the key here is to use everything we got, where it can be used, and not force people to use things that won't work well where they're at. This is why the Federal Government has no business doing this.

I like nuclear power, but I won't go bullshitting people about how we face catastrophe if we don't build more. Look out your window and make up your own mind about climate collapse, I think the climate is perfect.

How do you arrive at that conclusion?
Do you have any idea what I've done in my life and what I'm doing now?

I'd be keen to hear what you're doing personally to help the planet progress?

What you're doing now is help spread fossil fuel industry propaganda and lies and delay the action necessary to avoid the worst effects of AGW.

Only an idiot could arrive at that conclusion, using sceptics as scapegoats for their own failings.

It appears to be a sickness that Warmists suffer from.

You have repeatedly posted the same untruths however many times they have been pointed out to you.

A blithe liar.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
