The following excerpt says it all, sheesh.
"Maiffret published a note about the company's discovery on its Web site but pledged not to reveal details publicly that would help hackers attack Internet users until after Symantec repairs its antivirus software. eEye said it intends to describe the problem in detail privately for some of its largest customers."

I quit using Symantec long ago. Their security product/s were always slowing my computers down and its level of security was poor. I found better free products on the internet.

STAY AWAY FROM SYMANTEC! Their techs don't have a clue. Whatever you do DO NOT let them use their remote system to access and make changes to your PC. My system was completely crashed by the tech service people in India. It cost me hundreds of dollars to have a new operating system installed on a new hard drive to attempt to recover my data! All I got from Symantec was "sorry there is nothing more we can do for you, call the manufacturer of your computer"
You have all been warned!

People are seeing a lot more value coming from a new second wave of security vendors. My suggestion? Check out BitDefender (www.bitdefender), which recently won top ratings from PC Magazine in its reviews of the top software applications.

Get "eSET NOD32" Its way better and updates everyday not only that it takes up way less CPU usage then the competition.

Lavasoft Ad-ware is awesome and Ghostbusters professional. Some Trend is good too. I found the high profile software doesn't work that well. Hate Symantec and McAfree.
