I wonder how hackable iPhones are...Some apps want you to agree to store your information on a server somewhere...

This is scary stuff. I don't mind being trackable, but I mind being hackable. The idea that someone could pull up my ID number and use it to get information about me or pin it to my credit card... is frightening. This article is vague about just how much personal information is associated with these chip-based ID numbers. Health info? Financial info? Home address? Criminal record?
I'm glad that my passport is good for several more years. Maybe our government will figure this out by the time i need a new one. Ya think? |
