Is E85 planned for full size Lincolns and Cadillacs ? Some of these numbers are hard to believe.

Patriot AKA Bozo wrote: For E10 this results in a 2-3% reduction in mileage. Nah....... you just repeat what the ethanol industry states & all they state is the btu difference between gasoline & ethanol. Tens of thousands of people have real world figures casting the lie on the ethanol industry. You have no information of your own comparing gasoline & ethanol. But to state that ethanol, used in a gasoline engine designed, built & refined over a century to use gasoline at its most efficient, will burn as efficiently as it will in an ethanol engine, specifically designed, built & refined to gain ethanol's greatest efficiency is wrong. Of course, I have my 3 cars, all 3 which have much better mpg with 100% pure(ethanol-free) gasoline than with 10% ethanol blends. Also, all engines are smoother, quieter, & have more low end torque needing less shifting.

Also, all engines are smoother, quieter, & have more low end torque needing less shifting. I have kept a spreadsheet on my vehicle's gasoline consumption for about eight years. I do see a decrease of mileage of about 3% with gasohol. Much of the pump gasoline is blended with alcohol and many states do not require them to be labeled. I am more likely to take the results of a scientific study than from some guy driving a 1976 AMC Gremlin with 237,000 miles on it.:)

It emulated a psychiatrist and answered questions you typed in with pat answers that usually didn't address the question very well. Big_Goof is kinda like that.

Given the general content of his posts leading to many of the judgements he receives reminds me of a passage from a movie i saw recently. "What is he some kind of machinist or something." :-)

SoB wrote: reminds me of a passage from a movie i[sic] saw recently. "What is he some kind of machinist or something." Google doesn't recognise that sentence and I'm not surprised, it's missing at least one comma. You're probably referring to Brad Anderson’s 2004 thriller, "The Machinist."

Which leads me to believe if you were to run the cray version of Eliza on a commodore 64 it would be justified to name the outcome Earthing-1 ?
