So I personally know there is a Creator but what he is and where he is I am not sure all i know is we call him God.

See, I cut the cake differently than you. For you its all about whether someone believes in God or not (well almost - I would guess you are no fan of Islam, and they believe in God).

The way I cut the cake is that I think anyone who believes IN anything that they have little evidence for, is a dogmatist. Someone afraid to accept that doubt and uncertainty are a real part of the human condition, so they leap aboard any dogma-train in order to puff themselves up with false purpose.

A true scientific mind, on the other hand, can accept doubt and uncertainty. No, I do not know where the universe came from and neither do you. "God" is not a real answer. But wherever the universe came from, the scientific evidence says that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old and that man evolved from primates. At least that much we can have some confidence in, because this is what the world tells us.

You and communists have this in common: you seek to negate your doubts by self-immolation (I am a sinner! The individual is nothing!) and the rush to become part of some bigger cause that gives you a false sense of meaning. I hate dogmatism of all stripes.

There are actually some non-dogmatic Christians around too. Perhaps you should listen to them.
