Recent government releases on the cost effect of the stimulus (clean energy) on creating and saving jobs: Each job created and or saved cost $224,000. Apply that to the 11,000 jobs the author wants to create and the cost is $2,464,000,000 or $2.464 billion. This is 41% of the States annual budget to create 11,000 jobs.
Senators Bingaman and Udall should join Bill Richardson's caravan and exercise on of the remaining constitutional rights - THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

What's important is the illusion of creating jobs that are worthwhile. Cost is unimportant. And the flocks of sheep believe it and burn offerings to the great Obama, plastic Pelosi and the rest of the Dem buffoons.

The damage these clowns create in 4 years will by far outlast anything Bush did in his 8 year reign.

That's literally impossible. But hey...thanks for admitting everything is your party's fault. Usually NEOCONS are too far into Bush-denial to admit that.

On topic: Anyone who thinks it's a bad idea for New Mexico, with 265 average days of sunshine a year, to be a leader in solar and wind is either not from New Mexico, or should leave it.

I'm a registered Dem and Obama and his minions will be the ruin of this country if allowed to continue in power. Success should not be punished. All the does is stem progress.
On-topic - solar and wind power in NM makes perfect sense. Now if we can only get past the environmental zealots. If we ever do produce energy in NM I hope we use it for our own residents and sell the excess instead of selling it all and buying it back at a higher price as we are so adept at doing.

I wonder, does the Tres Amigas SuperStation mean anything to you? Can't you see the potential "cat birds seat" that puts NM in?
Literally hundreds of companies related to aspects of renewable energy are springing up all over the US. The potential is large and real.
I have no doubt the San Juan basin will remain cynical about RE and continue to whine about pit rules and tree huggers and how they screwed up the 2000 gas boom.

We got what we deserved as a nation, and we'll be sorry for it for decades to come. The Obama-fest crowd is already seeing the light of day and a shift in power will occur next year. However I don't see things changing for the better, just a shift from one arrogant corner to the other. More floggings will be necessary before the people finally send a clear and concise msg to politicians about whom they work for and what is expected of them.

Now about that alternative energy... With NMs record of doing things, I can see a major P2P coming and it all ending up as a giant cluster frock for NM taxpayers who will be the last to reap any benefit from such technology.

95% of those companies are either opportunist middlemen or shysters and will contribute nothing of value to RE. 5% at best are real companies who are interested in developing these technologies.

Those numbers came from an unmentionable orifice of yours I'm sure.
Just on the subject of smart grid alone, there are scores of things to be invented, manufactured, programmed, distributed, installed, and repaired.
Your thinking like a true con now with your 95% ways to scam. I can see why your dis'ed with the Demo party.
There's a lot more to RE than tilting at wind generators. Stick around and watch yourself be left behind.

If you had any business & project management savy & experience, and were not an Obama-bot, perhaps you'd have some clue how many shysters there are and how many wish to do as little as possible and reap as much as possible w/o putting forth any tangible usefulness.

Yes, there is a lot more to RE than just wind generators. If companies are truly interested in getting on-board that's great. My personal experience as a former IS Mgr and Proj Mgr taught me that the VAST majority want the money and contribute little to nothing towards the desired technology. And my figures are pretty darned close too. Even liberals are not that naive.

Are you sure you were a Demo? You think too much like a con. You haven't the slightest idea what my experience base is and your attempt at trying to dis me by using a sophomoric rendition of President Obama's name, is purely Glen Beckish.
BFTR, I am a supportor of president Obama's RE interests and incentives.
I also think your PM skills must be as narrow as your view of technology and the free enterprise connection. I stand behind my assertion that your numbers came from your arse and not from any recognized source. Like all cons, you make up crap to attempt to legitimize your point.
But keep your con opines and sarcasm. You make little, if any difference to the job opportunities that will be offered in the future by RE technologies.
Say hey to your new GOP buddies for me, Beckerpecker.

A. The first bit there is an understatement, big time.
B. I don't see any brilliant suggestions from you. Face it, your generation is dying out, it doesn't even matter what you believe any more because things will progress, its nature at work.

Yes Aaron. There IS a Santa Claus. No, he is not a fat fellow. He is a long legged MacDaddy. He was not born or live in the North Pole, he was born in a hut in Kenya and now resides in a big White house in the District of Corruption. The jobs you dream that will come to New Mexico through wind and solar technology are going to be about the same in number as MacDaddy produced with his so-called stimulis package. ZIP. Nada. Zero. Rather than being interested in what is going on in other parts of New Mexico, I think you are just d pitch man for the corrupt politicians who are bent on destroying our freedoms and liberty.

It was you who took the first swing by saying I'd pulled the numbers out of my orifice. Until then I was trying to keep the conversation as civil. Obviously you'd rather call names than discuss the issues. Since you have nothing of value to say, from here on I'll ignore your ignorance and no longer respond.

Typical. People like you can't take truth. You mde up the 95-5 crap and you know it. I just don't understand how you can make up stuff and still claim you just want to have a "civil" discussion. Lying ain't civil. If you want to have a discussion, then stop pretending you know something is fact when you make it up. You ain't Limbaugh you know.
The other thing that people like you do is always manage to bring Obama into the mix even tho it's not part of the discussion. Then, you try and minimalism what the other person is saying by inferring they are Obama's robots. But then you say I'm the one who name calls.
Then, and this is my personal favorite, you all try to crawl up the high ground and end the tete'a'tete by saying "Since you have nothing of value to say, from here on I'll ignore your ignorance and no longer respond." Now where's the high ground in calling me ignorant?

Enjoy your arrogance.

Obama aside, if you can do that, I am curious about why you scoff at RE jobs.( I prefer to call it the "New Energy Field" because it's so much more than just wind and solar.)
This technology really isn't about Obama at all so I wonder why you try and trivialize it. Would you do the same for a textile manufacturer or a large candy maker or an auto parts manufacturing corp that came into the area? What makes a company involved with RE technology so unacceptable to you?
Also, I know of no RE jobs Obama is trying to bring to SJC. Do you?

It is my hope and motivation that enough of us will work together and bring everything into check, from energy to societal issues like drug use and foreign relations. I'm not the only person my age with this or a similar point of view, I believe we can do it.

I dont get it, why wouldnt environmental zealots oppose solar and wind power? The whold SW should be into solar! Their should be wind and solar panel "farms" powering our needs. Not sure why environmentalists would oppose. How many solar panels would supply enough power that a power plnat supplies in a day? Just wondering.
