Found that one.
Volcano is currently pinpointed as "Havre seamount"
Find in Wikipedia via keyword search: "Esperance rock", which is a nearby emergent eroded stratovolcano which functions as a bird island in the S. part of the kermadec volcanic chain.
Also present in the Wikipedia entry is the nearby "Havre rock" from which Havre seamount apparently gained its name.
No sonar survey pics yet. NZ has probably not yet dug them out of the archives.
