Lauryn Williams comments about their failure to make it to the relay finals is just plain stupid. There is nobody holding up voodoo dolls of America. The competitors are just better than they are. as long as the Americans are clean they will be beaten. This is one of the cleanest games in a long time and that is why the Americans have not been able to dominate the sprints. Williams should take the blame for her poor baton change, she was also involve d in a poor baton change in the relays at the last games.

What kind of comment is that "someone has a voodoo doll of me." Don't twist this around, you didn't do what you had to do and live up to your name. You messed up and all you have to do is just say so and work harder the next time. You messed up the baton pass once again for the US Team. Live with it!

Lauryn Williams' comments regarding their failure to pass a baton was typical of a simple minded person. The world has known for a long that American athletes are always doping, thus, as long as the Americans compete clean against the raw natural talents of Caribbean and the rest of the world, they cannot win. Americans are just poor losers! Grow up Lauryn!

I am so disappointed by these comments. I am an African-American who rooted so hard for Jamaicans since I adopted this spot as my away from home retreat in the 1980's. Recently, I began to joke that I rooted too hard since little Jamaica is now dominating big USA. As an American, I want USA to win but I realize that decendents of slaves who live in the Western Hemisphere are truly related and the only difference is that we were colonized by different oppressors. We have more alike than different. Let's take lauryn as a poorly worded statement. She was referring to the fact that she dropped the baton in two straight Olympics. She worked hard (4th in the world) but twice something like this happens. I really don't think she was referring to Jamaicans at all but my Jamaican friends don't agree. But lighten up!!!!!
