Here's what really matters:
Do what you do with all your might, cause your days are limited.
Mighty victors and accomplihed men have regrets and perhaps many, but cowards have nothing but regret.
In the end the judgement is between two entities; GOD and the indiviual. HE put it differently, but I'll put it like this, give a damn with a passion, and HE can use you. Undecided, phetewti!

If L'Equipe had spent four of the last seven years, in which Armstrong was on top of the Tour, in trying to 'prove' that he was cheating on his lovely wife... they may have had more success than they did by trying to 'prove' that he cheated by doping.

Here's a link to a 2001 VELO Magazine (FR) article that I personally translated from FR to EN, and posted on my blog:

26 February 2008
2001: a RACE ODYSSEY (Looking back to Lance's victory)
http://crystelzenmud.blogspot.com/2008/02/200...
(The title of the article was 'Profil d'un Killer')

The reason anyone should read this LONG article, is for its thorough, and close-to-scientific basis: it may be, in fact, the last time a French author was paid to write something RESPECTFUL of Lance Armstrong.

French loved him when he 'came back from Cancer and won one';
French were amused when he equalled Lemond's record;
French were respectful when he equalled the five-victories record shared by the Big Five, Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault and Indurain;

But when this American strode into the realm of IMMORTALITY, it's been non-stop 'he must be ON something!'(implication? Something for which 'we French have not zee access' heh heh).

To make matters worse, the society ASO, who made all the money in the world, from increasing sponsorship fees during the Tour's Greatest Period of popularity and audience, ALSO made oodles of cash by bashing Lance through their own publication, L'EQUIPE.

The rank stench of hypocrisy emanates from this Conflict-of-interest as much as fresh cat poo in the box over there...

Zennotsozen,

Did you try to rewrite history like revisionnist?

Didn't you read the full 6 pages about Lance for his 6th win? Maybe your memory is very selective as usual.
Maybe one reason to be in Switzerland...

The problem with Lance began during his first win, he was asked to explain how he became so strong. We have to recall that Lance was a very good rider on classic but a average GT riders. He was dropped in all mountain stages with the sprinter, and left his first 2 TDF after 2 mountains stages. He finished only his 3rd TDF but with a gap greater than 1H30!
He was even not successfull on long ITT losing around 5 to 6 minutes!
Of course, journalists and riders were knowing that he worked with Ferrari. The feud began with that questions about his change in a such small time. He was more a Riis than a Lemond.

The recent statements of Lance Armstrong showed more about all of his lies than what has written L'Equipe.
Bush and Armstrong are probably the 2 biggest liars of recent history.
Hopefully time serves to reveal imposture.
Congratulations.

Earth to French imitation TbV...

Did you not to include a link to your statement 'read about Lance for his 6th win?'... because otherwise, mon pauvre, you're asking for me to do the impossible...

AND, if you were in any way referring to Lance's SEVENTH win, which was just before the scandalous lies of 'l'Equipe' were the 'merci-beaucoup pour nos millions'-shot heard around the (sporting) world...

I thus certify that you chose NOT to read my article-translation, from FR mag VéLO... why? You could even walk into your neighbourhood bibliotheque and ask for the copy, which I cited by N° and date...

You are obviously someone who only appreciates BS in great quantities, just as the Swiss doctor, who was interviewed about Lance's return for the TSR teletext news service, who had the UNBRIDLED GALL to state the following:

"We don't really even know that Lance ever had cancer, now do we?"
(To idiots like him, with whom you appear to be in fervent agreement, I'd say "Go lick Lance's only remaining Testicle!")

Coming back to your 'points'(har har har), do you want to add citations for this one, as well as the one I requested above?

You wrote:
"The recent statements of Lance Armstrong showed more about all of his lies than what has written L'Equipe."

Lance proposed to air all these concerns in front of a French JUDGE: AFLD refused, LNDD refused, WADA refused...(I don't know why: they could buy the judge easily... heh heh (JOKE time))

Sayonara, mon pauvre,

Hey Will,

you missed this long ago... when 'cher Raymond' told us verbatim "you'd be surprised to know who my cousin IS...'

(Which French drivers often try, when confronted by a policemen re: driving infractions... heh heh heh: my ex-GF, who was French, used it all the time...and always got away with it!)

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Cancer

You've had enough time to yourself lately. This is a day to focus on family, with all the good and bad that that brings. Crabs would much rather be at the top of the tree than down near the roots, but that's life. You might be smart when it comes to matters of the heart, but you don't know it all quite yet.
