why does fox 2 and St Louis County keep interferring in the private business of Jamestown Mall? Jamestown was not built with goverment tax monies or did the new owner use any when he purchased it in June

The ULI was a joke, they were not well informed on the area, the ammenities offered or the people of north county.

Jamestown has close to 40 businesses, many small busninesses with employees who need their jobs to support their families.

The ULI suggest the county buy it by eminate domain, is that what it is designed for? And where is the county getting all this money? Wouldn't it be better spent on police, county services or roads? The county recently pulled the officer assigned to jamestown, did they do the same at South County Mall?

Fox 2 show Jamestown, hy not Northwest, The Mills, Crestwood or even the vacancies at South County or Alton Square?

The ULI wants to county to build a goverment center, if they move the north offices there, wouldnt Village Square be drastically effected. The ULI suggested a lake for skating in the winter, do they realize how cold and for how long it needs to be cold to freeze a lake?

If Mr. Dooley has all this county money laying around why not use it to help the existing merchants and the new owner, it would cost alot less to help fill existing buildings than to tear them down and rebuild.

When the ULI was asked about financing they said that wasnt there area that there would have to be more meetings to decide this. Hope these meetings last more than the 2 days the ULI spent becoming experts on St Louis North County, and the 1.5 days they spent coming up with the unfinished plan.

Meanwhile the merchants will continue to serve our customers, come out and see us we are OPEN!!

Simple solution, put people back to work with decent jobs. This is the most basic way to invest into all of our futures , and that of business as well. if people have jobs, then they will have money to shop and buy stuff from stores. This is the root of the problem.

I agree, this is also tearing up farmland just for the sake of the almighty dollar. The same can be true about building houses in areas that should remain farmland and nature reserves. We the people should quit being so greedy and let nature alone. Live on the land already developed. Recycle every building that is empty...no more tearing up landscape for a new Wal-Mart.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
