The Post Office won't be very busy with this program. LC citizens are so illiterate, they have no use for a library let alone books coming in the mail. Postal workers should not worry about having to carry heavy bags of mail stuffed with books. This is a nice program, but this is also LC. Now, if they delivered meth, other illegal drugs and ice-cold beer to the front door.......
Just the facts

Your incendiary comment is evident of your LACK of maturity. It is obvious you are suffering in some way as those who are the most critical are always the ones most in need.

Now we know who needs the book program. You would be the one sitting on the porch waiting for them to deliver your cold beer!! Please God Help Us All!!!

What would cause a person to be so unhappy and miserable that all they have to do is put down other people? "Lincoln County citizens are so illiterate", what are you talking about? Anyone who would make such a comment is pathetic. I am pretty sure that the person making such comments is the one who illiterate, uneducated and very close minded! Lincoln County is a great place to live and raise a family and there are many opportunities here - all this LC bashing is ridiculous. GET A LIFE!

Rediculous? Perhaps. But do you have any factual data to back up your assertion that a county with a history of 13.5% unemployment is a "great" place to live? Would you please care to list the employment, cultural, recreational and economic opportunities of which you speak? Can you compare, say the average hourly salary, our community's economic status and well-being to others close by?

Just seeking a FACTUAL discussion.

Although it's nice to read good books, have intelligent discussions, the motive to do so really doesn't have any bearing on the goodness of the heart. I work for a not for profit place in LC that would not exist today if not for the kindness of the folks in LC. My clients rave about the kindness they experience from the people here. Having said that, I still hope we can get a decent library soon.
