I admit that I'm spell bound by all that Wyoming has to offer, and have always thought I would love to live there. We have agreed though, that we will come out and stay there through the harshest months of winter before we make a permanent move. The mountains here in North Carolina are great, but are no comparison to the Tetons. Can't wait to experience them through all of the seasonal changes....and of course Hubby would LOVE to experience the Elk hunting as well as other game. I personally prefer to do my hunting with a camera. lol !

The cost of living in Wyoming is pretty high. They had a big boom and so all teh housing is rediculous right now. As far as living close to fishing...the fishing isn't really that good unless you like Carp with some trout mixed in trout (which is all I ever caught. A trailer sounds ok, but the winters are harsh and I would be afraid what you would be spending to keep it warm and am not sure if you could find it anyway. All I can say is go check it out. I think the fishing here in Tennessee is better and you can do it pretty mcuh year round. Although again if you want to live on the water it is expensive, but my home is only 3 miles from the water and it was cheap. There are so many lakes and waterway here that if you lived in a smaller town I am guessing the cost would even be less. Same for the North Carolinan. Your right to go check it out before hand and during the worst months. The tetons are beautiful, but the cost to live close to them is very expensive. Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle!!

I ran across this forum while researching our possible transfer to WY.

Forgive me for not reading back through this thread...I got to about the 3rd page.

Can anyone give me an honest opinion on Riverton WY? We have 4 children ranging in age from 14-4. And we are expecting our 5th child. Obviously, I'm most concerned with the schools and if the area is a good place to raise a family.

Thank you!

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Aries

You'll be in a better position to get on well with someone who has power or authority over you. This might be your boss, some other authority figure, a friend you really respect or an older relative. Maybe you should chat up your superiors at the office Christmas party... or make more of an effort to understand what makes a certain person tick.
