35th Riffe Family Reunion

Riffe Family Reunion

The annual Riffe family reunion will be held on Sun. May 25th at 11:00 a.m. The Big Branch Day Use Park of R.D. Bailey Lake Hanover, WV, has been rented again this year. Picnic lunches will be shared and those who attend are invited to bring an item representing their state, county, or area, for the "Hillbilly" auction. The proceeds will go toward the expenses of the reunion. Trophies will be awarded for various categories including "Traveled the farthest" (please check your odometer). Awards will be presented in the children's games as well. There will also be horseshoe pitching tournaments for men and women.
There will be special music, and preaching. All friends and family of the Riffe's are invited to come. Bring your picnic lunch and folding chairs for comfort and
prepare to spend the day.

Riffe Cemetery Decoration

The Riffe family cemetery in Hanover, WV, will once again be the sight of a Memorial Day Service and grave decoration. American flags will be placed on the graves of those who served their country in the military after a short ceremony. The service will start on Mon. May 26th at 12:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Oh I wish I had of known earlier. Maybe next year. Is there a newsletter or website about this? Where are there hotels/motels in the area? Sounds like fun!
