Molested by teacher Thomas Scott King

I was violently raped and sodomized twice at the age of 7 years old by Thomas Scott King who worked as a teacher/principal throughout the state of West Virginia. He was ultimately fired after being found in a hotel room with a 17 year old runaway boy from the school where Scott was principal. I am attempting to press charges for what he did to me. If that happened to me and he was still loose I would have just knocked on his front door and wen he answered shot him in the forehead. It would be tough to find a jury to convict you.

His defense has been that he's gay and anytime anyone brings anything up he claims they are homophobic and a gaybasher. I really don't care in the least bit that he's gay. I'm only concerned about myself and his other victims. But all he has to do for protection is use the "gay basher" technique.

By the same token, can you imagine what would happen to a 60 year old man who was raping and sodomizing little 7 year old girls in Charleston? Scott King's arrest record is available online. He has been doing this for decades. Why won't anyone stop him? I have reported what happened to me to the police and they said they need one more victim to come forward to gain a conviction. In the meantime, he's doing what he can to be put in a position of authority over young boys. Last year Scott King was very active with the Charleston area high schools campaign for Obama. I personally saw at least 7 10th grade boys on his Facebook before Scott deleted it. I did notify each of the boys as to who he is but they never responded to me. There's a good chance several of them have already been raped.

Read the articles about the reported attempted rapes on the international exchange students. This site won't allow the link to be posted but search "thomas scott king", "foreign exchange" and "pedophile". The way he does it is he invites a boy to spend the night and then he comes into the room and tries to overpower the boy. He was reported by several exchange students but nothing was done about it.

Thanks to Scott King's former co-workers who have responded to me via email. Apparently Scott was reprimanded on several occasions for sexual harrassment of young male employees under his supervision. It's really not a big secret. Scott was even moved to Las Cruces because of the sexual advances he made on other male employees.

Let's stop passing the buck on this one. He needs to be put away for the rest of his life.

This is NOT a recalled memory of any sort. This is something I carried around since the age of 7 and could no longer remain silent. This 60 year old man in Charleston, WV has violently raped little boys all over the state. The police are aware of him, as are the media. Why won't anyone do anything? Would it be different if it were a white man raping and sodomizing 7 year old black girls? Is it different because this is a gay man raping and sodomizing 7 year old boys? I WILL TESTIFY as to what he did to me. The prosecution needs more victims to come forward. I know many of their names because their families have contacted me. I know about the pictures being taken, the film developing at Scott's house, the underage drinking, the hotel stays... but I need more victims that can testify as to what Thomas Scott King did to them. I KNOW you are there and have no doubt many of you are reading this. If you think it's a secret, trust me.. your family knows because they've seen the changes in you. What he did is a crime and he must be stopped, plain and simple.

Scott King is 60 years old, bald with a full beard, overweight, walks with a bad limp and has been reported to currently use a cane. He lives in Charleston and has also been reported to frequent adult book stores, city parks and political events. His picture is available online at West Virginia News (there are three stories about him there), as well as the locations he taught in West Virginia. There are also online stories in publications in Missouri, California and South Korea about Thomas Scott King. This man is free to move anywhere in the country and is under no restraints whatsoever.

If you are carrying information and not reporting it, then you are responsible for a child rapist in Charleston being free. I am doing all I can do to take him off the streets. I am withholding nothing. Now it's your load to carry but it's very simple to stop carrying it.

Well it must not be to annoying to the great "protect and serve" persons. It's odd, not really, you have to take evidence and shove it down their throats to get attention to a crime. Any more their soul purpose is to TICKET any moving road violation,,,that's all they do.

All I know is the benefit I have received from reporting it. I was basically living a lie since the rapes began. When a child is raped by an adult, the child usually cannot handle the reality of it and goes into a deep state of denial. I always remembered what he did. It was too traumatic to ever forget. However, I never allow it to surface. I kept it supressed through drugs and alcohol. In 2005, I got clean and sober (and still am to this day) and could no longer deny this reality. I had to face it dead on and that's what I will continue to do until he is stopped.

Thomas Scott King is literally a child rapist. I remember exactly how he carried this out on me when I was 7 years old. In counseling I was told that the average pedophile rapist has 300 victims by the time one comes forward to press charges. If you read the articles about Thomas Scott King, you know about many of his victims. Their mistake was to report it to the school system instead of the state police. Rape is rape. Being a teacher is not an excuse, being gay is not an excuse, being overweight, over 40, white, handicapped, bald are not excuses either. Thomas Scott King has no excuse for sodomizing 7 year old boys.

Where did that slam come from?? He just said he was silent and didnt report it for many years so what do you expect the police to do?? I think the law enforcement community takes any report of abuse or pedafilia VERY seriously. Even those in law enforcement who get jaded and hate thier jobs after they have done it for a while still care about protecting those that are not capable of protecting themselves. I would say allegations of this nature are looked at very closly in every case. People convicted of this are also treated probably worse than any other type of criminal.

Bottom line i think your moving violation comment was very out of line and on behalf of law enforcement everywhere I would like to say screw you. the only reason we write tickets is to get people like you to slow down so you dont kill yourself or someone else.

The Prosecuting Attorney's office in the county where I was raped has indicated they need more for a conviction. They indicated Thomas Scott King would be indicted based on my testimony alone but more is needed to put him away. I know this to be true and have seen it in other cases. All I need is more victims to come forward, hence my postings. Victims are out there reading this.. sooner or later one will want to put this behind them. I think the real issue lies with the WV school system. They knew about him and moved him from school to school to school. I'm sure a Freedom of Information Act request for information regarding my rapist's work history as a teacher and principal would reveal the school system knew for at least 20 years that he was molesting students. Anyone have information on class action lawsuits against the state when it's proven they covered up a child molestor's actions?

I should also mention that the State Department has an interest specifically in this because Thomas Scott King molested several of the foreign exchange students he hosted. Google search his name..you'll see what I mean.

West Virginia State Police Investigating Former Principal for Years of Alleged Sexual Abuse

At the time, Mr. King was the principal at Valley High school in Smithers, WV. The teenager was one of his students…..that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Charleston, WV - infoZine - West Virginia News - Kings own younger brother has now come forward with a deep dark secret of his own…“My older brother, Scott, began raping and sodomizing me when I was 5-years old.”

Signs of a Pedophile?

On the surface, 60-year old Thomas Scott King has traveled the world and made friends with dignitaries and other high ranking officials while working for the Peace Corps. In the 1970’s, he traveled to Africa where he taught English. His role as a teacher and principal in at least three WV high schools has opened other doors to prominent state politicians like former Supreme Court Judge Margaret Workman, who has him on her “Facebook” list of friends.

Then there is the side of him that only a few choice people know about. When Thomas Scott King was principal at Valley High School in Fayette County, he pled guilty in Magistrate Court for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charges and subsequent plea deal in Fayette County stemmed from an incident that began at a Charleston motel in June, 1996.

Both King and the student admitted to State Police of spending at least one night together. King claimed he drove the youth from Smithers, WV, to Charleston in order to personally console the boy who police were searching for after his parents reported him missing.

He has never answered one important question. Why did he drive the teen 30 miles from Fayette to Kanawha County to a motel?

Cops finally caught up with the pair when they spotted the boy driving the principal’s car back in Fayette County 2 days after he was reported missing. King also admitted he allowed the boy to drive his car even though the teen had no license. In fact, Fayette prosecutors could only charge King with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for driving the car because the motel was in Kanawha County. And, they never followed up with Charleston authorities to go after King for taking the boy to a motel in that jurisdiction.

In an August 7th, 1996 Charleston Gazette & Daily Mail newspaper article; than Assistant Fayette County Prosecutor, Tom Steele, said he did not know the specific details of the trip to the motel and could not investigate because it was outside his jurisdiction. The newspaper articles did detail Kings plea deal, admitting they spent the night at the motel together and King’s resignation as principal.

But, there was one condition to the “no contest” plea agreement. King had to resign as both principal of Valley High School and the WV Board of Education. Did prosecutors and law enforcement know that this man showed signs of being a sexual predator? Who knows? Fayette County prosecutors either forgot or did not care to follow up with Kanawha County authorities on the motel stay. Today, that former juvenile is approximately 31; he is identified in this story only by his initials “JFP” who is allegedly still dealing with problems related to those events.

Thomas Scott King the Principal

Records show that Thomas Scott King has been a teacher, vice principal and principal in several schools across the state (and possibly worked for the Post Office when he lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico) from McDowell to Mingo, Lewis and Fayette Counties. In fact, he was featured in the Charleston Gazette and Daily Mail newspapers in September 1990 as the new Matewan High School principal who first discovered that football players at the schools had their grades falsified so they could play sports.

Scott King was also involved in another scandal that caused several foreign exchange students attending Lewis County High School to return to their homeland early because of incidents that occurred while King oversaw that program and had several of the teens staying at his home. King admitted in a March 1996 Charleston Gazette story that he had been playing “host dad” to at least 6 exchange students over the past six years. He told the newspaper reporter that “It’s a little bit of a challenge, but usually very rewarding.”

Reportedly, by one source, sealed school records show that one of the boys provided a statement that Scott King came into his bedroom several times and tried to rape him. The exchange student ran from King’s home on the second assault and hid at a friend’s home.

His very frequent movement from school to school since the late 1970’s suggests a pattern of possible problems that his superiors and the Board of Education were aware of and concealed.

This is a good point. The first recollection I have is when he molested me at age 5. That one is only a blur. However, when he sodomized me twice at age 7 I remember that very clearly.

I accept the responsiblity for not reporting it then. I was only a first grader, going into second grade. If you've been molested, then you know the chain of thoughts that go through your head. However, if you're reading this now and you have information you're not reporting, then I am giving you the responsibility for doing something about it. I've done all I can in reporting it. It's not my baggage anymore.
