I am a long time listener to WMAL. That will now end until the "strapped" company executives realize that they made a big mistake in loosing a 'winning ticket' to the listening audience. Chris Core is the voice of reasonable (and polite) discourse with his listeners.
There is nothing wrong with Grandy and Andy but not in this time slot. They had one that I'm sure was listened to by many. Why change a good thing? If management looks only at the bottom line they forget that listeners look for content as well as entertainment. Chris Core gave both in a way that kept me listening to the whole program. I will be looking for his name on another station.

I too am at a loss to understand why Citadel would pull such a bonehead move. Chris Plante is tolerable but Chris Core was fair, reasonable and enjoyable to listen to. He was up against Tom Marr for God sakes! I have taken the station off of my preset. May as well close the station- I can get by with WBAL and WCBM.

I actually like Chris Plant more then Chris Core but, I liked him in his evening time slot when I could listen to him! I am at work during the 9-12 slot and can not long listen to Chris Plant! I will miss Core only for keeping the morning slot occupied so that Plant could stay in a time slot I enjoyed listening too! Thankfully, when not pre-enmpted there's Michael Savage on WTNT and Michael Graham on the internet from Boston - now HIM I miss on DC's airwares!

I listened to half an hour of Chris Plant, he is much too conservative for me. I always listened to Chris Core. Chris Plant was talking about Barak Obama and the minister who seems to be quite ignorant. Why don't people who find nothing good about this country answer the following questions: Where would you rather be? Didn't blacks sell blacks into slavery?(I refuse to use the term "African Americans") No matter how they got here, aren't they glad they are here? What do they think of the Africans killing Africans? What do they think of the black thugs shooting each other in Washington, D.C? I saw a program on PBS, a light skinned black man talked about the advantages of having light skin (no darker than a brown paper bag) being desirable by blacks. Were the slave owners responsible for some of that? Isn't Halle Berry gorgeous?

Already ditched WMAL from my radio preset. All they have left on that station is now a bunch of hardcore rightwing conservatives, who seems to have no manners or respect for anyone but themselves!!!!

Its a sad day when a good decent Radio talk show host, the like of Chris Core is removed to cut the bottom line of a company, that clearly profited from his stay at WMAL. Also, what’s egregious is to replace Chris Core with the likings of Chris Plant, a ULTRA right-winged nut-job, who take pride and pleasure defacing and destroying anyone who is not aligned to his sick perception of the world. I did not always agree with Chris Core, but I also, new that his show would be educationally stimulating and cordial. You will be sadly miss man, keep up your sprits, and pride as you further you endeavors in the near future… My Prays and respect to you and your family…..

I love Chris PLANT. Chris Core was way too naive and mealy mouthed for me. I look forward to hearing Chris Plante, he is the best! Core used to drive me nuts, he would set up a question and then not know the story completely so a caller could wrap him around their finger. It was frustrating. In these very important times, we need truth not going along to get along. Liberals have the MSM, like the WAPO and radio stations, all sewed up so we need to get the truth out.

The owners looked at the wrong bottom line. Chris Core advertised products he believed in and used. His advertisers and his audience knew that. With Core gone, I suspect many of his advertisers will not continue their advertising with WMAL.
