John McCain, in an interview today, said, "Senator Obama is willing to lose a war to win a campaign." This type of thinking disturbs me. If leaving Iraq will help Obama win the Presedential election, shouldn't the next president leave Iraq? If the voters (aka "the people") want to leave Iraq and will vote for the candidate that will exit Iraq; isn't that what should be done?
We have forgotten that our government works for us. The job of our elected officials is to carry out OUR wishes, not theirs. Does McCain really think that he has the power to do what HE wants? Do we really want a president that views the voters' wishes as something to boldly disregard. I, for one, have had enough of that.
