With undeliverable refund chceks, once the address is updated in the IRS system, the process takes approximately six weeks. The re-issured check could be Christmas money for you.

To NOT have this problem in the future, electronically file your tax return and choose direct deposit for your refund. This is a fast, accurate and safe way to receive your refund monies in seven to 10 days - in the bank. This way, the refund check can't get lost or stolen or returned back to the IRS as undeliverable.
