As of yesterday, Weber County Health Department states that they will only be offering H1N1 protection to young children, primary caregivers of young children, and health and/or emergency care providers. Both of the sources I spoke to were very quick to report that no one in the high risk age group up to 65 years of age would be able to receive any H1N1 protection at this point and one head nurse of this department stated that it could be as much as two months before this group was offered any protection. No other heath organization, contacted yesterday, eleminated people with medical conditions that fall into the, at risk group, only Weber County located in Ogden.

Can you track Tooele County? Also, I've been trying to get the influenza seasonal shot and most areas seem to be out of those. I think it would be a good idea to track the availablity of both vaccines.

This has got to be the most outrageously out of control, panic driven, event I have ever seen. I have called and called and called health agencies to get information and I get out of date recordings or I have been told they are out of the vaccine. When I go to the shot clinics the lines are catastrophically long and I get turned away before getting a shot. Now they are taking appointments--good luck getting one. I called and all the appointments were filled. This is the biggest mess I have ever seen. If a real catastrophy hit like an earthquake or something huge, be assured that you would be on your own, no one will be coming to your aid!

once you have had h1n1 , does that make u immune to getting it again? and does i mean u won't get it if you have been closely exposed to the virus, but didn't get it? i wish the news or the health care industry wud address these questions, as well as the rest of the real questions. i have underlyng health problems, hiv poz and i can't even get a shot. and i do agree with beth, thx for you comment, i think some people r saying they have underlying health problems in order to get the vaccine. what about those of us that truly do have one? my daughter currently has swine flu and namonia which is one or the two number 1 underlying killers for people with the swine flu. she works with the public. i think those people should be at the top of the list as well, not just health care workers. there are many people who deal with hundreds of people face to face all day every day, which i'm sure she was exposed. i think this is the biggest mess i've ever witnessed over health care. and it seems like they had alot longer than just a couple of months to invent and produce a vaccine. they had all year to do it. it makes me angry.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Taurus

If you gave up over what happened yesterday, you stand a better chance of sorting things out today. Talking to the person who failed to go for the teamwork may help to get a grip on the situation, especially if you manage to avoid recriminations or accusations. Instead, do your best to be as understanding and compassionate as possible. Or just let it go.
