What a load of crapaola! Are the American officials so lazy that they cannot turn on the computer and check if someone is born in the U.S. or not? The woman has, no doubt, a social security card. JUST CHECK!

I can imagine the dialog:

"You are not an American citizen!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No you are not!"
"OK, I'm not!"
"That's what I thought!"

So it's true what I heard that there is no freedom of speech in the United Snakes? Doesn't look like there is much freedom at all if she has to take such critism from people like you simply because she visited another country. "Saty"? Is that the spanish word for "party"?

Looks like you do not have much room to talk if you are from Sweden. You are really bad on Immigration and helping immigrants in need. The USA has allowed more legal immigration then then the larger countries of the world combined. Sweden is very selfish.

http://www.migrationinformation.org/usfocus/d...

In 2005, attention was brought to the way in which immigration authorities deport asylum-seeking families whose young children exhibit what psychiatrists call pervasive refusal syndrome (a profound and pervasive refusal to eat, drink, talk, walk, and engage in any form of self-care). Deporting these families goes against the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Sweden has ratified.

Beyond these types of deportations, the country's exceptionally restrictive immigration and asylum policies have been criticized by the Red Cross, Save the Children, and the Swedish Church. Together with Swedish Pen (an organization of writers, authors, and journalists who defend the freedom of the press) these organizations hosted a "tribunal" in the fall of 2005 to shift public opinion toward more open policies.

The current Social Democratic government's restrictive approach is meant to appease anti-immigrant opinion with the goal of preventing the rise of a popular protest party with anti-immigration politics as its principal platform. Yet the government must balance this with the political support it depends on from the Green Party and the Left Party, both of which disdain the ongoing erosion of humanitarian asylum and refugee policies.

Read this article. It looks like the little immigration that Sweden has done is starting to backfire on them. Looks like you Swedes are not to happy with your immigrants. In this article it sounds like the Swedes have been flapping their gums too. I guess it is OK though because you are the chosen ones, the Swedes.

Maybe someday your country will be has wonderful as the USA has been for immigrants.

The US Government can turn on their computer and find a social security card holder, but there are hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens in this country with social security cards. They are not citizens. For $500 I can get a whole new identity from off the street in San Antonio. That's why she is having problems.

Are you sure this person is totally innocent? And we would be better off going to the Obama White House and putting zippers on the lips of people who work and play there, and are leaking sensitive security information to the press to score political points.

Illegal aliens are known for stealing and forging social security cards.Even if she has one,the question is,is it hers or not.It doesnt really matter anyway.Even if a person admits they are here illegally, half the time the U.S. government doesnt do shit about it because they play the race card or start screaming "Nazi Germany".As if the USA is the only country in the world that isnt allowed to enforce our immigration laws.Mexico sure does and they make no bones about admitting it.

Well said. The woman told immigration that she is an American citizen, but they said she was lying. When she told them she was not born in the U.S. then they believed her! So why didn't they look for proof in either case?

Of course, while they were wasting their time with an innocent woman a hundred were crossing the border "under the wire" with drugs and guns. Perhaps they figured drugs and guns were needed more than some innocent woman.

Being a Svede doesn't get you any extra credit in the United States. It may get you a lonely man from Norway, but that's it.

I agree. I like Sweden. I just do not like individual people bashing other Countries when they are also doing the same or worse. I have a Cousin that lives there and she will never come back to the USA, she loves Sweden. To each his own.

The USA should also be as smart as Sweden and enforce the immigration laws as well as Sweden does.
