Report: Child used in shoplifting scheme
A woman made her 4-year-old son an accomplice in her attempt to shoplift, according to a Denton police report.
Two women were in a large discount store in the 1500 block of South Loop 288 about 7:50 p.m. Monday, according to the report. Store employees noticed them acting suspiciously and began watching them.
They took panties and stuffed them under the child’s clothing. Then they picked out shoes and placed them in the boy’s backpack. They left the building without paying for the merchandise.
Store employees detained the women until police arrived. An officer called Child Protective Services, which took custody of the boy while the mother and her friend were taken to jail.
The child then was released to a relative, according to the police report.

The kid was released to a relative? Hello? Her family probably condones this kind of activity, or also engages in it.

Another thing, are there photos or surveillance videos available to the public? I bet the mother is a teen mother, a child having a child. Sounds immature to me. I, at first, thought perhaps they were professionals, but now that I think of it, it sounds like teens shoplifting.

This is just another twist on "early childhood development."

This young boys mother must be around 18 or 19 I would imagine at the least. She knew exactly what she was doing. The pitiful part of this is that this four year old is at the age of learning and will more than likely grow up stealing thinking he/she will not get caught.
WWHD Don't judge the family too soon. They may be honest as the days long. Hopefully they are and can teach values to this young child of four. It appears that the mother has probuly done this in the past. Hopefully she will learn a lesson and get on the right path. |

A thief is a thief, they all come from all walks of life, from the Welfare line to the Law Enforcement line, it's just a matter of time before they get caught and get their day in court.
Now... will justice be served??? Depends on who you know... |
