Army: Suspect said 'Allahu Akbar!' before shooting

One has to wonder about the state of mind of any muslim US Soldier. I think there exists an inherent conflict between their mission and their faith. The US Armed Forces ought to look at this issue more objectively. We certainly don't want this situation repeated anywhere else.

Leave it to over government to take proactive steps to prevent a tragedy. Idiots.

All the president's men (and women) fell down on the job Thursday. And Democrats across the country have real reason to panic.

It is obvious what happened.

Here is a guy that joined the military in order to have you and me pay for his medical training. Everything was cool until the government wanted some kind of payback.(Go overseas) He then started to try to get out of the military, even going so far as to hire an attorney.
In his private conversations and web postings he was showing signs of instability (comparing kamikazi pilots to soldiers that throw themselves on a grenade to save their buddies).

He finally realized that he was not going to get out of either the military or going overseas, so he took the coward's way out. He decided to assassinate a group of unarmed men and women. He could have started this at a firing range where the field would have been a little bit more level.

Instead of being a martyr, he has become the poster boy for the Army to look out for. A Muslim who is so crazed that he no longer has touch with reality.

His being recently promoted to Major really shows how politically correct even the military has become. Every review of the guy has been terrible and to get a promotion after posting that kind of record shows that the fact that he was a minority and had a minority religion entered into the decision to give him any kind of promotion.

I sincerely hope that he doesn't die. I would love to see him have a long life much in the same way that Larry flint has had to deal with. Then he would have the time to reflect upon what he has done for say the next 50 years.

I pray for his victims, their families and his family so that they will have the understanding about what this guy really was all about. someone who wanted others to pay his way and someone so weak that they did not want to bear any burden in order to support this country. It was all one way with this guy. Let's hope that there are NO more such as him.

Does the Muslim religion preclude them from being considered worthy of America? We might have to deport the Muslims before the illegal colonists. Both are a pox on our children's future. And, EVERY HONEST American knows it.

At the time of the announcement there was little solid information available. Just rumors and unsourced blather. Hell even the Fox Freak reporting didn't claim the shooter was a Muslim.

"initial televised remarks following the devastating American tragedy," And while it is a tragedy for those involved, it is hardly a "devastating American tragedy," as spewed forth by the Reich-wing propagandists.

Watch for the racist and bigotry spew forth.

This just shows how poorly the army vets its own officers. But that's what happens when you round up the dregs of society and slap uniforms on them. The US army is the biggest threat to our freedom.

My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the families that lost loved ones and those who are injured.

NOW, LETS FACE THE TRUTH. ITS THE UNITED STATES FAULT (democrats and republicans, all parties)FOR LETTING THESE A-HOLES IN OUR COUNTRY, LETTING THEM STAY HERE, AND LETTING THEM IN OUR MILITARY. Now, here is what is obvious. The anti-Mulsim stand the republican base is taking.

This man had serious problems and had requested to NO deploy to Iraq. They are fighting Muslims there.

The Army has been PUSHING recruitment of Muslims to Christian in both Iraq AND the military. It's illegal, but under Bush, wasn't everything done illegally?

We have an American who didn't want to kill people of his religion...a religion of peace. Christianity is a religion of peace. That is why Obama is having a hard time deciding on this war. Republicans were recruitedinto the party's Bron Again political movement. They are not now nor have they EVER been a Chrsitan organization.

The 101st Airbborne, in the pre-invasion days in Kuwait, had a soldier who was Muslim who did not want to fight. He ended up blowing up an officer in his tent. You tell me. What is it this "Christian" pusghing military doesn't get about Muslims being forced to kill other Muslims? About pressuring those of OTHER religions to BE Chrsitan...in a secular nation which is to defend EVERYONE'S right to worship as they want?

No, your military fell down on the job. They KNEW of the request of this man to NOT go to Iraq. They had had OTHER incidents with Muslims not wanting to go to Iraq. This is the military who fell down on this. IT was never reported UP the chain of command to Obama....so he could not have known.

This is all the more reason to get out of Afghanistan. Redical militant religious wing nuts in this nation shouting "One nation under God" need to be watched everso more closely. ANY reason to hate, kill and murder has been the republican chant for decades. If this thing escalates, the republican party will be doomed.

Obama is a Muslim........I have heard Muslims who call in on the radio that insist that "when a Muslim, always a Muslim" and that it is ok with muslims to lie about who they are in order to "fool" an unsuspecting victim. I wish somebody could get a photo of him praying to allah..........somebody would pay megabucks that proves what Obama is. Obama is a Communist as well.

This proves that a great deal of Americans are STUPID to vote in a person like Husseine for president...... and then continue to support him even after they are present with the obvious.

well dave, i think it would be a really swell idea for you to go over and ask.
Its not that i condone these acts at all (from either side).
We will NEVER have any influence on the matters in the middle east. We could spend 50 years there, wipe out every cell in existence, have a civilized election that all agree was fair and just, and within a year of pulling out of the territory, they would be killing each other again. Its gone on for thousands of years, each sec believes in their way and their way only, they all believe its worth dying for. If not fighting the neighboring country, they will fight each other! If they don’t hate the US they will hate someone else. Even their educated, act the same way, they have learned diplomacy (in public) but repute it practice.

This incident should serve as a warning to our elected officials and citizenry. America has become a melting pot for people from anywhere and everywhere and now what do we have? we have a country full of every conceivable culture,with extreme idealism's and have put ourselves in a position of becoming a minority in our own country. As for the aunt that says he was picked on and wanted out of the military? thats laughable, they all hate America but will do anything to get here. I'm telling you that we better be on our toes for this sort of thing, you know, the enemy from within? Not everybody that joins our uniformed services are honorable and when I think about it, what better way to sabotage our country's efforts than to build an army within a army, interesting suppositions!
