Mitzi changed her plea to guilty on 05/01/12,“they” will be sentenced in August. Rumor has it that she is cutting a deal to provide information about other cases that the Feds are interested in. Could it be voter fraud, mail fraud, payoffs or the death of former inmate/trustee Bobby Stone? I am betting that it is all of the above! Lookout Joe, Chuck and Don Currie because the wheels of justice turn slow and KARMA is going to run over your sorry a$$es!!

Ever wonder just why a “long-term” Sheriff would SUDDENLY decide withdraw his name from the ballot after he had already announced his bid for re-election and saturated the county with 200+ signs?
It sounds to me that SOMEONE agreed to “gracefully” vacate the office of Sheriff and NOT seek re-election (as Sheriff) as a part of a federal probe. That written “best interests” agreement would end the long on-going probe and close the case file.

@ Parent, The minimum mandatory sentence under Federal guidelines for conspiracy is 3 years, for lying to a Federal agent (providing false/untruthful information) is 5 years, for being in possession of firearm while committing a felony is 5 years, for coercion of a Federal witnesses is 5 years, for obstruction of justice is 2 years, for possession of illicit drugs/narcotics (meth) that qualifies under Federal guidelines 8 years.
Without mitigation she facing a minimum of 28 years in prison. However, that is how the Feds stake the charges. If she cooperates, they will drop most of the charges and accept a plea on one or two of the lesser offenses. She is a range 4 offender meaning that she WILL have to serve in-custody time. However, she can mitigate that sentence down to a 2 year stay by putting the other (previously mentioned) crooks in jail as well.
