On Dec. 29, 1890, U.S. soldiers killed nearly 200 unarmed Sioux in what would later be referred to as the Wounded Knee Massacre.

The saddest part of this story is that there are so many others like it. Such terrible, terrible things we've done.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2009 MAY NEED ALL GOOD AMERICANS.
With best wishes from a small Norwegian town where time is right now 17:30 (=5:30 pm) and we are soon to get seated for our traditional New Year Eve dinner. In some 6 hours we'll salute the new year - at which moment you still have to wait another 6-7 hours I guess.
Take care and of course don't forget Wounded Knee....
