Obama's candidacy HAS exposed racism - that of the Democrat party, which has for generations strung blacks along with broken promises. Now we see them for who they really are - something many of us have already known for a long time.

The general public is long past all this and a black man or woman could easily become POTUS. But not Obama. He's not the one. He has been exposed as a socialist with America-hating friends.

Disagreeing with Obama's politics is twisted and anyone not supporting him is labeled as racist. Middle America is far more sophisticated than the media and the elites give them credit for. They are tired of being labelled racist when they know they are not.

The beauty of the Obama candidacy is that he is exposing black racism as much as white racism. Blacks like Wright cling to their role as victims of racism to cover up their failures and to define themselves as leaders of black Americans, personally profitting from maintaining their rascist roles. The Clintons have demonstrated their disgusting willingness to play rascist dirty politics in their lust for power. Obama's message is simple and crucial. Americans either recognize our common interests and work together to resolve our common problems, or we lose any hope for economic justice. The economic rape of the middle class will continue, we will continue to suffer an unjust distribution of wealth, and fundamental problems in our economy which can only be addressed by our government such as universal health care and pension reform, will continue to drag America down into third world status. It's our choice to make, come together in good faith under Obama's leadership, or go down into increasing economic desperation while interests like oil corporations, insurance corporations, and pharmaceutical corporations continue the hijacking of our goverment to serve their greedy interests.

I have two comments for Ms. James-Johnson. First, contrary to what she claims, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Gloria Steinham, and Geraline Ferraro are not "right wing radio hosts".

Second, she appears to be suprised that the Reverend Wright has such hateful and racially charged opinions. Anyone who has been paying attention, and keeping themselves informed knows there are Reverend Wrights all across the country, starting with the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton. To now say that these controversies, "hyped by the media", are somehow new news, and refer to them as "some racial baggage black America needs to address", is taking understatement to a new level.

If Colin Powell were running instead of Barak Obama, this particular controversy would not be in the news. But that does not mean it did not exist. It's been there all along, but the black community at large failed to "address" it. Now that it may have a negative effect on the first black Presidential candidate, Ms. James-Johnson wants to blame it all on the media and white people.

Look again!
It isn't just critics who are raising the race issue in the presidential competition. It was Barack Obama, himself.
After Obama's 45-minute speech it was almost universally hailed as a historic event and was praised by the media (including the Sun-Sentinel?) largely for its eloquence, rather for its content and basic message.
What almost nobody in the media noticed, to their professional discredit, was his racial-division comment. It went something like this (I don't have the transcript in front of me.):
Some persons (I don't know his exact words, but it had to refer to white persons) "don't undersdtand the Black worship customs."
There is no way to regard that as other than a reference to Black persons as different from others. If he wanted to erase racial differences, he didn't have to give this emphasis to those very differences.(Hey, anybody who doesn't believe me can probably Google up a transcript and verify that he actually said it.)
By that statement, Obama, himself, made race a factor in the election, for good or ill.
I don't care where all of this leads, but let's not focus only on the Clintons and media types for infusion of race into the presidential sweepstakes.

Yeah yeah, feely good , touchy touchy, and all that. His candidacy is an exercise in pretense for the Democrats. He will not beat McCain, and all the wishful thinking in the world isn't going to make it happen. We may be the minority in South Florida now, but plenty of white people vote everywhere in the country, and they will not vote for Obama in enough numbers to even get him close. Look for a larger margin and bigger turnout than W. got. The states Obama did get in the south traditionally vote Republican in the fall anyway. Instead of pinning their hopes on a winner, they have pinned the tail on the donkey. And got it on the wrong end.

This discussion is good. It will help us move forward in "race." It will no longer be too difficult to discuss. We will begin to treat people as individuals.

It is heartbraking to watch this contest turn into a discussion of race and gender instead of a discussion on health care, war, peace, education, economy and everything else that effects all of us.

Do not be afraid, just do it....

VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA

HE CAN, WE CAN!

Hussein Obama's past and present associations are the issue, not his race. The Silent Majority of Thinking Americans take great pause in these associations despite the fawning Media and hypnotized follower claims that they don't matter. We know that they do. The only racial question is, why do virtually all Blacks favor him despite these important questions?

It is not an easy job to eradicate the barriers of race, but I think you are doing well you people of America. There are both white and black racists, and it is all our job to extend hands to one another and be one human race. Good luck.

Here is a LOT more information that the media tried to keep hidden about Obama.

I started this thread----as there were just TOO many articles!!!

Notice that there are 3 articles indicating that Obama has NO PLANS of ending NAFTA.

Under this thread, you will also find the link to Obama's "church". Look on Pages 10 and 11 of the church's website----to read what they say about Israel, Palestine, and Hamas. This will definitely make it clear why Hamas publicly stated that they want to see Obama in the White House!!!

Also, look at the articles about Obama's family members in Africa, that belong to Muslim terrorist groups!!!!

Obama has tried run a positive campaign but all the media can talk about is his former pastor. I find it kind of sad that so many people can actually believe all of these email that go around about the pledge allegience, flag pins, supposed ties to Ayers and other things that are repeated on Faux Noise EVERY night. He continues to take the high road even after going up against both the Clinton and Republican attach machines. This forum is full of the most hateful people that I hope are not a true representative of what the majority of American's feel.

Correction. The media are not concentrating on his former pastor. They are concentrating on the fact that Obama sat in the church for 20 years, listened to the radical hate-filled speech, never said a word about it, then tried at first to say he "didn't know".

That's why the some of the media are also looking at some other Obama contacts such as Ayers.

He's Bi-Racial. He is not black.
Didn't blacks in Harlem deem Bill Clinton the first black president? Now they've taken a dump on him. Typical.

Transcended race? Wanted something different? Did we have a choice? He hasn't won yet. It shouldn't even be an issue. But liberals love to use it as a crutch.

So ignorant. You mean attack machine is guess. Yeah, the left-wing doesn't have those. He said he couldn't disown Wright. So be it. Wright is a racist pig. You say he's not. Your just hiding from the truth. The real Obama that's hiding in the closet will eventually come out. Along with his selfish wife.

It has been asked, time and time again, just what has Obama done for Illinois during his stint as Senator. NOBODY has come up with answers. Those are the questions a "majority of Americans" want to know.

What is "taking the high road"? Does it mean not answering the questions? He talks of change, but offers no solutions. He criticizes the other candidates, and maybe rightfully so, but he offers no alternative plan. He is just another mouthpiece politician. Big words. No action.
