"It becomes a deadly game," said Laura Hudson, executive director of the S.C. Crime Victims Council. "Where is all of this ending? Is everybody going to have a weapon? Are we going back to the Wild West? It just escalates."

I wish they would get a new "line", this one is getting old. At least try and come up with something original. We've heard this one too often, it's loosing it's "punch".

Laura, you won't see things turn into the Wild West, there won't be "shoot-outs in the street", minor traffic accidents won't escalate into gun battles, you will actually be safer when more honest citizens carry firearms.

I agree. I am a nice suburban housewife and mom...and I got mine. Educated, registered gun owners are safe gun owners, as (usually) are their kids. How many criminals do you think take the time to register? I have never heard of even one.

Congratulations on your CCW Lori. Now start getting your friends to get theirs. But more importantly, become a Second Amendment advocate; start asking your representatives to justify to you just why it is that you even need a CCW in the first place.

I'm getting sick if ignorant morons bringing up the "wild west". There is no such thing as the "wild west" other than TV and movies... Don't these douchebags ever open a history book?

It is refreshing to see women writing of their acceptance of their Second Amendment RIGHTS instead of irrational fears of inanimate objects. Please recruit others to the cause of equality.

Guns don't kill people...people kill people.
A spoon didn't make Rosie O'Donnell fat.
A pill didn't make Rush Limbaugh a drug addict.
A bottle of vodka didn't make Amy Winehouse a drunk.

It's what they DO with these things that cause trouble.

You dang right! I'm gonna get mine too soon. I have a registered gun I keep in my glove compartment for now. Makes me feel safer. I dont live in the best area. You def dont see criminals registering their guns. The criminals are gonna get guns one way or another so citizens should have the right to protect themselves. That whole "wild west" thing is so stupid

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
