I'm a Texan, I read about R.I. still marking the V-J Day. How American is that, to think a state in this day and age still has the courage to stand up to the rest. This is refreshing, afterall, this is in the great celebration, of the soldiers that still live today, that fought for that right to celebrate as my dad is a WW-2 vet also. It is something for you all to be very proud of, and I tip my Texan hat to you. Keep up that great tradition.

Victory over Japan day.

Looking at all the Sony, Mitsubishi, Toyota and every other product coming out of Japan, just who is celebrating the victory.

My father fought in WWII and was proud to do so. If we discontue this holiday it tells our proud veterans that we don't respect the sacrifices that they made. Let's not forget them!!
