WEEU

the crazies are in full-force during feedback and talk tuesday. Mike, Dennis, Cecelia, Cliff...all the haters lined up in a row. goes w/o saying from 12-3 when the druggie is on the air. The local hosts have a constant pbytch about the federal government, while almost totally ignoring the state of decay taking place in Reading. Maybe they should devote more time to fixing things in our own backyard and confronting those responsible for it. But they don't. Fearful of losing precious access. And strange since most of the news is lifted from the Eagle, which is keeping the station afloat and a step away from automation. WEEU behaves more like a welcome wagon trying to prop up a failed city. Are they on Reading's payroll? Faust and Painter don't even live in Reading, but try to pass themselves off as being 'in touch' with the community and it's problems. They like to play both sides of the fence, patronize callers and pass themselves as the good guy, when all they are doing is attempting to profiteer from pitting one side against the other. Seems to be failing as their advertising is stalled. No wonder. PSA's, promos, dead air, one host a bible-thumper, another a pencil banger. Amateurish to say the least. And Faust staying late to do traffic? Jack Holcomb would've never humiliated himself by doing such a thing. Most of the staff wouldn't be able to get a job in radio outside of the Berks County. The joke among radio salesmen in the area is the: avergae age of a WEEU listener is 'been dead 3 days.' If you ever happened to listen you can tell it's true. Is it any wonder WEEU doesn't make the "Best of Berks' anymore? But then it's Berks County. The peeps are bought off cheap with Feedback journals, bartered giveaways and a spoonful of jambalaya.

Todays's show wasn't really feedback, because when you get on touchy subjects, you get cut off. The rants about the size of products shrinking and the cost going up was precious. Once again, this apparently doesn't happen in Reading....only has to do with manufacturers and other places. How about when one of their sponosors like Big John's decides to put less meat on a hoagie/steak or skimp on a recipe to save money, or even by mistake, and doesn't tell the customer. That's ripping us off, too. But heaven forbid WEEU shine the light on their own. Their narrow-minded fabrication and distortions continue.

Feedback in the past week had a guest on promoting a book he just released recently promoting health God's way, and telling a story about how God made him pick up Skim milk instead of 2% milk, and that God told him to write down all this stuff in his book. Come on now.......... then again that "fear" stuff plays right into the hands of their main audience.

Wyo, I too heard Friday's show about the product sizes. That was a laugh and a half.

It's nice to know that the average caller's rants haven't changed. It's a joy to hear the same callers like Marconi referenced rant and rave about the same stuff every week.

The hosts haven't grown a backbone yet to challenge city officials. Why is it going anytime soon? They'll continue to roll over and get on their knees every time the mayor comes on.

I heard the Nick show today and the regular crazies can't stand him because he doesn't kiss their butts and tell them what they want to hear. Oh, how they cower into a corner when he's on, wishing the regular right-winger yackers were on the air to stroke their lonely egos. lol. As far as I'm concerned, all the radical nutjobs that call in were also responsible for the shooting in Arizona on Saturday. The names already mentioned are at the top of the list. The hosts that stoke this kind of behavior are guilty, as well. That means YOU Faust and Painter and the station management for choosing to air the crap in the afternoon from noon until three. Blood on all your hands.

don't getcha panties in a bunch over terrestrial radio hacks.
Get Sirius/XM. I hear ya bitchin & moanin already. Woe is me, I can't afford $13 a month! Losers.

Just a few bucks a month gets you a full range of entertainment - plus the King of All Media hisownself - UNCENSORED. You'll never go back. I rented a car last week for a trip down south, and forgot to take my Sirius along. Bored outta my gourd. Static, no choices, fade in, fade out

Go ahead & keep your ears up against your staticy old radio, whinin' about your local pukers...chumPs.

Holcomb and Kaz are harmless fun. The weekday talk shows are repetitive and boring. Like beating a dead horse. Recession proof Friday? That's been ignored by callers for over a year. Business of the week? No thanks for the info-mmercial. Switching you off. Stale programming, overall. And this notion their signal is getting into New York? If they are, at 20,000 watts daytime, they need to be investigated by the FCC for running a hot transmitter.

As expected, 'talk' Tuesday sucked-up to the base callers and came across more concerned about protecting their advertisers/income, under the guise of freedom of speech and accepting no responsiblility for their crazies that get their jollies on their broadcast tripe. Pass Painter the soap.

Has Mike even given his own opinion of the shooting? All I hear is him quoting sources and say "huh huh", "I agree", "Right", etc. etc.

And how many more trips to Pollock Furs? There's been what...... 3,4 in the last month, month and a half? All the remotes they have to hand out freebies are snatched up the same people who have said on the air they condemn handouts.

No opinion from him. Only a call for responsibility, except from him, the station, advertisers, his clingy-angry callers and the satellite poli programs.

I thought the fur store was going out of business? I can image the wackos lined-up for freebies at those events. Maybe they should sponsor a social security card burning day, so seniors can take the point on stopping the government handouts. Don't count on it.

Holcomb and Kaz are golden- the others leave much to be desired- they need new callers and advertisers- maybe they should try the "fake" caller format i.e. Phil Hendrie. The Weeu callers are too predictable.

What's up with the Laura chik? I've even heard her call into the Voices program to chastise the H.S. students.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
