My wife and I shared a coed bedroom for 60 years and not much goes on anymore.

Ah! But the first 50 years were great

I'm a straight female who will be living with a straight guy next semester. My parents and some of our friends were a bit upset, but it's a perfectly natural decision for us, because we both ended up without a suitable choice for a same-gender roommate and didn't want to go through the freshman year torment of living with a stranger again. We're best friends, we're together all the time anyway, and we're 98% sure we can live together without driving each other nuts. That's really all there is to it.

This is absurd. Aren't kids getting laid enough already? My friend's daughter said that sex is going on almost non stop at her school as it is!

Yes, but the question is are you sexually active with each other?

Your frustration is showing. Getting any?

Gary Vitter, Mark Foley and Larry Craig have good numbers to call.

It's all of our business when these girls get knocked up or get STDs! The STD rates among young people have gone way up in recent years.

So why not list your vices?

I don't have ones that could get women pregnant or contribute to the spread of AIDs! Encouraging horny 18 year old boys to share bedrooms with teenage girls is certainly not the way our society should be going.

This is not new. I shared my room with majorette girlfriend and then another girl friend all through so, jr, sr years. The only difference is that I paid for my room 100%.

They are over anyway, you might as well share the costs.

Oh, really? They have drugs to treat that.

Crawl out from under your rock, get with the times, or go somewhere else. This has been going on for decades.

For your information, the AIDS drugs are becoming less effective because the virus is adapting. They don't cure AIDS, they just postpone its fatal effects. Allowing teens to bang away nonstop is just endangering their lives and the lives of their fellow students!

I find nothing wrong with a male and female students living together, but wouldn't it make more sense for such people to find private housing, such as an apartment complex or the second floor of a house?

As far as the bickering on this board goes, here's my compromise; if two people want to live together and sleep together, it is absolutely none of our business.

However, if those people get a disease for failing to protect themselves, we should not be required to pay for their medication. Don't tell me it's none of my business (which it's not), but then ask for my money. You can't have it both ways.

Are you kidding me? Do you really think that not allowing them to room together will make a difference? If anything, it will probably reduce the amount of sex going on in the average dorm room. Same-gender roommates are sympathetic and will go out of their way to accomodate a roommate who needs the room for a "date".....

I don't understand how the problem? So the kids want to live together. It does not mean they are having sex or making out all the time every day all nite. Sheesh.

In fact it may encourage the guys and laidies to learn about the opposite sex and explore there bodies in a safe enviroment. As long as they don't shower or sleep in the same bed I think it is good to do.

People forget that sometimes a smaller guy can be beaten badly by bigger guys who are selfish angry guys. If they were with a kind women this may not happen.

This is the college's way of teaching the kids that men and women are the same - interchangeable clones of each other - no difference.
That's obviously wrong. We are different.
