Specter flipped on everything else, why not the "Gay Marriage" thingy. Shame, this guy used to be a US Senator.

Ole Snarlin Arlen, the benedict Arnold of our times, he never met an illegal alien that he didn't love.

He will do anything to get reelected. Switch parties, positions, you name it. He would denounce his own mother if he knew it would get him 6 more years at the trough.

Hey, Arlen

Have you switched theories yet on the Warren Commission Report. You know the one, where Oswald acted alone, you had your head up your a@@ back then as well, so I guess nothing has changed

Woo-hoo! It's only a matter of time people. They're all starting to understand that civil rights should be afforded to everyone.

Arlen Spector doesn't give a damn about your civil rights. All he wants is to get re-elected, and the wind seems to be blowing in the progressive direction, so that's the way he will aim his rhetoric. Don't believe him for a minute, unless he actually proposes or votes for civil rights for GLBTs. And then be wary.

This guy will do just about anything to get elected again. Not happening, Arlen!!! You have shown your true colors, none of which are contained in a rainbow flag.
Joe Sestak has put actions behind his words. He stands behind his statements and knows what equality for ALL really means.

Specter could care less about anything other than remaining in office. He is a dismal human being, he is a meaningless pawn to whichever way he feels the wind is blowing. This hateful loser needs to be thrown out of office now.

Like Creigh Deeds in VA, Arlink Specter is toast.
He has been around too darn long. Worn out. Ditzy.
Moving into senility. Held town hall meetings about "healthcare reform" in which he had little knowledge of what was in the bill. Still doesn't.
He's a power addict. Wants to hang on like a Strom Thurmond. Pennsylvania voters---Democrat, Republican, and Independent have had enough. He will be voted out.

I always liked Arlen; all I ever really had against him was that he was a repuglican. Now that his age and experience have given him a little wisdom, he's finally seeing that his erstwhile party was only in it for the big bux from big buisness, which consistantly pushed for legislation contrary to the will and benifit of ordinary citizens. I applaud him for his courage to switch parties and opinions as new insights enlighten him. To steadfastly support a position in the face of contradictory information is not an admirable trait, but only blind mule-headed conservatism for it's own sake. Without the vision of progressives to advance society and culture, our schools would still be teaching that the world is flat.

But the schools would be teaching Reading, writing and arithimitic. People would be working, crime would be punished, the world would still fear us and progressive would mean getting ahead, not communism. All you're doing is spouting the Obama line, wake up already.

Don't hold yer breath waiting for Obozo to join ol' Arlen on stage for another fundraiser. Arlen saw that having Obozo didn't move the needle for Creigh Deeds in Virginia. A low in the polls dog cannot boost the popularity of another low in the polls loser. It's time for Arlen to take his Don Knott's "shakey" act back to Philly and retire.

I guess if you support an issue you'll take support wherever you can get it. But it seems pretty obvious Specter would give himself whiplash on this or any issue flip flopping back over to the other side if he thought it would help him hold on to power.

Who knows what he really thinks about this. He probably doesn't give a rip one way or the other. It's most likely just something he thinks he has to do to beat Sestak in the primary.

Wow you never really followed Arlen before did you? He voted with Dems 59% when he was a Republican. Now as a Democrat its 69%. Do you really think he's seen the light? He doesn't care about Gays, he helped craft the "Don't ask, Don't tell" for the military. The only thing Arlen cares about is Arlen.
Progressive vision has given us Income tax(but they were only gonna tax the top 1% of the people), Social Security/Medicare(both were to be fiscally solvent ha ha), and taught our children about entitlement(any wonder why kids don't want to work for anything?). Bravo progressives, what do you want to do for your encore...wipe the Constitution with your butts?
Now Republicans remember we need to clean up our own side. If we allow moderates to rule, they will do what the Libs/Progressives did to the Democratic party. Remember there was a time when Dems, no matter how socially liberal they are, loved our country and would defend the Constitution.

The constapo and talibangelicals are lyin fer jeebus again, as usual.

Specter has always been as pro choice and pro gay as the liberal leaning Democratic senators.

He was driven from the Republican Party, which was very happy in the main with his Warren Commission bullet theory, by crazy, fundie xstains who don't "believe in" evolution or who are Birthers or who are climate change deniers or who think the earth is 6000 years old.

This same pattern is true for just about every moderate Republican north of Georgia - they're just finding the R. Party too nuts. Praiz!

Try reading eithe the 14th amendment where it says under the jurisdiction of the United States, Or better yet read the preamble where it denies forgeiners rights under the constitution. Illegals have the right to be deported after all their ill gotten gains are forfeit as perscribed by law.

It's always funny when folks complain that someone "flips" on long held beliefs.

Isn't the whole purpose for living to keep learning and growing?

If you learn that something you have held to be true, is indeed false, should you then continue to cling to the false belief, out of consistancy's sake?

That would seem foolish to me.
