It took some doing to find this. My topix keeps going to cities.
I wonder how the advertised the rally at the Capitol. I know more than 30 people who are pro gun rights in town.
If a citizen wants a gun, he should have it, barring a felony. If a person doesn't want a gun, they shouldn't be made to have one.

I do believe that a person who has a gun should have a license to have on and to carry whether it is open or concealed carry.

I'm not against a mandatory training course for a carry permit. Hunters have to go through training now too.

I got my concealed permit in Texas' first evolution. The classes used to be longer. It took a week of 4 hour classes and a Saturday at the range with Texas Rangers. It was good.

My husband and me went here in Oklahoma. I thought the requirements should have been more strict. But it is good that a back ground check is necessary. So we have our license. If the state goes open carry you will not see either of us doing that. I just thought if my husband was going to have a gun around that I should know something about it.

I don't know if I will open carry either. I'm for more rights for gun owners. I had an open carry license in Texas but chose a concealed license and carry for practical use.

I live in the country and the crime rate is fairly low. However, last week a rancher was assaulted by 4 men. They tied him up, kicked him, and punched him. They stole 3 of his vehicles, a stock trailer, a load of cattle, and many other things.
I drive by his place every morning before dawn on my way to work. As a matter of fact, there is nothing for 18 miles between Wetumka where I live, and Wewoka where I work. There are plenty of places where a person could be ambushed.

Having a firearm available is priceless.

Being or feeling safe is a big deal. Being able to protect yourself and family is huge.
A gun is just a tool, an equalizer. I've practiced martial arts since I was a young teen. I've trained, been certified, and worked as an executive protection officer.
There's nothing like a gun in the hands of a trained and determined person.
The guys that held up the rancher had guns. That doesn't mean he would have prevailed if he had a gun. It would have been at least an option for retreat.

People who don't want anyone to have guns confuse me. I don't understand why they want to deny another person the ability to feel or be safe, the possibility to save himself or his loved ones, or even a third party being attacked.

It takes about 90 days now, because OSBI is so backed up.

Good because the only way you can take my gun is when you pry it out of my cold dead hands.

It you ban guns to all the law abiding citizen , the black market will exist and the only ones who have it will be the person who come to kill you and your family because they no fear of you being armed. A baseball bat verses against a loaded gun and you lose. the liberal media doesn't tell you how many life's have been saved buy able to defend yourself and your family. Don't ever get so pompous thinking that your safe in this world without defense, Obama has armed guard what make his life any more valuable than your family. We own guns and won't surrender them to leave me defenseless . If you think calling 911 gonna help your fooling yourself , because they will be helping first call first serve.

Why don't we go ahead and legalize murder? That would take care of the entire problem. It's working very well in Florida where they are happily shooting each other left and right. I mean if you have a God given and constitutional right to carry a gun concealed or openly, in your truck, in your baby carriage, while you are at the grocery store, at the doctor's office, at the bank...then what would be the problem with pulling it out and shooting people with it? What's the point otherwise? Why own a gun if you aren't allowed to shoot people with it? It doesn't seem fair.

Morons must run heavy in your family.....but considering your comment if murder was legal liberals would be in short supply.........since none of you own guns and believe in society having guns, you only approve of gangbangers having guns..........and they do think murder is legal.......black to black that is.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Cancer

Take care because it's a rather downbeat day. You feel as though you have the cares of the world on your shoulders, and maybe you have. You've certainly got to cope with a lot of responsibility and duty, and there could also be delays and disappointments that need to be negotiated. Yes, it's a fairly miserable day but try to rise above it, otherwise you'll soon start to feel really wretched and sorry for yourself.
