Tom Coburn is one of the few who actually have some common sense about this whole mess. Last poll I remember, some 76% of Americans don't trust this government....

I never had confidence even when I didn't even live in his US House of Representatives Congressional District.

And I never voted for him when he has run for a seat in the US Senate.

I lost confidence 8 years ago, starting to
gain some confidence, but Okies love dis-information more than facts.

I sent emails to Mr. Coburn--telling him to tell the truth to his constituents--he hasn't returned my email

Well, considering the gravity of this comment, channel 6 (Griffin Family also from Muskogee) have made a statement.

Coburn is correct on this one. There are not many Americans that believe in the government.

Watch for states to start leaving the union

Politicians were never out there to help out our country, it's always been about them and their carriers. They vote whatever way they have to, in order to stay in power, and pass whatever law they need to, to make their own leaders happy. America is not run by the people or for the people, it's run by the greedy and for their interests, republicans and democrats alike. Good job feds, pad your pockets while you can.

Why did Obama Abdicate the responsibility for the Bill to that Asylum called the House of Representatives.

Since when has Pelosi or Obama spoken the truth.

Perhaps I stupidly oppose the Insurance Takeover. Nothing for Tort Reform.

Folks, it is plain and simple a Bad Bill. Sometimes noble efforts can be wrapped in a Bad Bill and this one is.

We've been lied to time and time again, the bill is being rushed thru just like cap'n tax. Obama doesn't even know what is in this horrible Bill.

Let's see a rewrite.

Coburn needs to understand that he is just as much a part of that government as any other senator. This guy can/will say anything and everything but he never makes anything happen. Hes all talk and no action. Therefore his is just as guilty as the rest of them.

The Republicans were charge for 8 years with George Bush and they didn't come up with Health Care Reform then. Why do they have so many argumentative ideas now since President Obama has told Congress to put things together? What they should do is stop being so divisive and go to the meetings like the President has requested and quit looking for position for the next election.

I think that's due to 24% of Americans actually being intelletually inferior. Some just can't think for themselves. We try not to hold it against them

The most worrying thing about this article is that it implies people had faith in the government in the first place.

Any politician who suggests anything other than cutting the government at least in half should be dragged through the street by their short and curly hairs while being pelted by rotten tomatoes.

Dirty crooks and self-serving filth top to bottom.

The best government is one that spends the least and tries to eliminate itself.

People lost faith during the Bush years, where were you then Mr Coburn?!

As for tort reform, why should the govt limit the damages determined in a court of law?! If you have a problem with ambulance chasing lawyers, then limit how much profit a lawyer or firm can take in a lawsuit? It makes not sense to limit one's damages when damages could easily be in the millions of dollars on healthcare lawsuits. If you are for tort reform, then please tell me what your life is worth? I'm guessing your family would think it is worth more than the $250k cap that Coburn supports.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Aquarius

Yesterday you had a good control over the workings of your mind, but sadly that isn't the case today. Instead, your thoughts are wandering in every direction except the one you need to concentrate on. The result will be a sense of being disconnected from what's going on around you and possibly even a dreamlike quality to the day. Don't make any decisions while you're like this.
