The Death Penalty in Florida is a Joke. Most all convicts will live at least 25 years Before anyone decides to execute them, then the "Appeals" with new evidence comes into play.

You've got that right. The death penalty should be automatic for crimes like this and we should put in an "express lane" like Texas.

Obviously, living murderers can harm and murder, again, in prison, after escape or after release.

Executed murderers can't.

By one vote, a jury spared the life of Aurlieas Dane McClarty, 30, who shot to death Phillip D. Mumaw, 59, and Anne Culp, 48, during a robbery on July 18, 2000..........

"" This is a sorry outcome for a murderer."" This POS should get the lethal injection at the very least...it sends a message to all the people that would kill someone, that they can live their life out in prison...In my opinion,ANYONE that takes the life of another person, should die if convicted...and not sit in jail at the expense of the taxpayer's for the rest of OUR lives...

The liberals would prefer we waste over a million dollars supporting this trash in prison, rather than spending .25 cents on a bullet.

8 years it took for this joker to finally come to trial;and now hes going to live inside for the rest of his life! What a joke!..he wasnt "mentally incompetent"when he pulled that gun and shot them;he knew what he was doing; we should stop this "life"crap and instead execute within 30 days of the verdict;case closed!!!

I bet you wouldn't think that if you lost your Mother or a Child to a Killer.

Good. Death is too easy and quick. To be locked up the rest of your natural life with a bunch of horny Bubbas waiting to get shived at any time day or night is the ultimate in cruel and unusual punishment.

Call it what you will, it makes darn sure that people like this won't be killing anyone else, now doesn't it? As it is now, even though he's being given life in prison, there is always - ALWAYS - a chance he'll be set free. With a list of priors like he had, he shouldn't have even been out on the streets! But no, our society seems to have this mindset that criminals are the real victims anymore, and they keep getting put back out on the streets. it would be nice if the anti-death penalty people would show as much outrage and concern over the victims of these killers as they do for the killers themselves.
