it was bad at reports of damage in the area but the Power came back on about 11:30pm Friday night June 29, 2012 but some are still without power and will be until next week sometime, but when that storm came through it laid full grown trees flat and pegged them to the ground but didnt break, I knew it was going to be bad then and the wind was strong, they said at the GM plant in Fort Wayne, IN that the wind through the rail cars right off the tracks and Parkview North had windows blown out at the hospital on the north side of Fort Wayne, then the weather channel said too that those storms were still strong and hitting Washington DC today early in the morning at about 2:00am. So far we have gotten .7 tenths of an inch of rain and more is expected this evening.

Blew through Air Force Base here where they were setting up for Freedom TATOO, took out Tents, Displays, Wagons and other stuff. Injured 16 people. Luckily it was early enough that there weren't a lot of people there yet. They had to detonate the fireworks they had ready to go so all is Cancelled at this point.
Roofs, trees, and an RV Dealership got it in Miami County. Was not even raining when this wind came through, but did rain b4 it was over.
Still about 300,000 w/out electricity in IN and OH.
Went from 103 degrees to 70 degrees in a matter of minutes. Got so dark outside that my Sensor lights came on about 4:30 PM or so. Scary stuff. No Warnings for tornadoes, but sirens came on.??

I know weather.com only said there was 30% chance of precipitation for Ft Wayne area Friday.
.
I only found out recently the record high for Atlanta was only 105 and that was back in 1980. Heck, Lima Ohios record high was 109 in 1988.

Still not enough rain here after 4 days of temps from 95 to 111 is what one guy reported on Wed. Guy in Auglaize county got his Hay barn on fire from a lightning strike, but got it out early enough and saved his barn and Cattle.

Global warming, defined by dumbass al gore is total bullshit..... It was hot in 1988 too. One time we played basketball in Lima in January and never needed more than a tee shirt tower outside. Then there was quite a few years of normality.... Hell, 2 years ago in Atlanta, it never got over 90 all summer except a couple times.

Global warming...... If its true, there's nothing anybody is gonna be able to do about it.... Get rid of all SUVs???? Wont make a lick of difference.

Global warming is strictly a political ideology and people that buy into it like a religion are dumb as a post..... Algore would be the Jim Baker of its religion. Any way to weasel money away from people using the holy grail of global warming works for him.

Good, when you're done with the rain, send some here. We need it. 90's predicted for the entire week here in Cleveland. Yes, 20 to 30% chance of rain, but those heat rains are usually very scattered and produce little in volume. It will rain for about ten minutes, stop, and make it feel even warmer when the sun comes back out.

Just looked at Uncle Doppler. Seems that those showers petered out faster than a left-wing radio show. LOL!

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Aries

Your boredom threshold is lower than usual this today so don't be surprised if you start to feel restless. Ideally, you should alter your usual routine and do something totally different, because that will certainly keep you interested in what's going on around you. Watch out if you decide to spend money because you might part with a lot more than you intended.
