I was very apprehensive but did my homework and found an amazing hairdresser in NYC (Nelly) at Anabelle's hair salon. Read my comment. Hope it helps.

I am very anxious to get this treatment done. I cant find a salon in my area (wayne NJ) and im not sure if it is going to be what im looking for. I had the Japanese straightner done a few years ago and i loved it. my hair would air dry pin straight which is a huge difference from my normal frizzy kinky big hair...
Is this product the same? will my hair air dry straight .... can i bleach my hair with this product?(highlights etc)
any advice would be greatly appreciated...
not sure if ill find this message board again.. if someone could email me with some helpful info at adidio1984@yahoo.com that would be great. thanks!

I got it done 3 month ago and did it again this weekend are amazing. No frizz, no damage. I got it done a Annabelle Salon in NYC in the lowereastside and was more affordable than Shampoo B.

I had the marcia Texeira done in July of 07- I loved it, although rumors have been flying that it's not good for you. I just recently had the Peter Coppola treatment done and it is no where near the results of the old Marcia. Marcia has also come out with a new product with less formaldehyde--but my mother had that one done & results were okay. I want the old MARCIA back...but sometimes things are just too good to be true!
Plus Peter Coppola is a bunch of bananas formaldehyde is what straightens your hair..he says its organic & people think that is safer. Where are the ingredients people??

I think coppola's product is loaded with formaldehyde. I breathed the product in and burnt my nose. Why can't we get an ingredient list like the other products, is kind of suspicious and wrong doing because we can be dying and don't even know it. And also aldehyde is a chemical family not an ingredient, however not all the aldehydes are dangerous but evrything that make your nose burn and itch should no be very good for you.

I am a hair dresser in Manhattan, recently use the rejuvenol BKT with collagen and so far is being the best product of all. There's not burning feelings like Marcia's and Coppola's, even though is a little heavier than those mentioned, the final result (4 days later) it is stunning, so I believe this is the safest of all.

I got the treatment done last week at Annabelle Salon in the lower eastside by Nelly. I really did not feel no buring or itching on my head. I've gotten relaxers in past that have burnt my scalp and hair dye that also itches. We all wore mask for extra protection against any formaldehyde. I love the results my hair has never looked this good. I recommend this to anyone having hair trouble.

Hi. can anyone tell me how long the results lasts, and if its ok to go to the beach all the time, would it wear out faster or how does it really work, and should you use any special shampoo?
thank you

I live in Central Florida and I'm looking for an stylist who uses the Peter Coppola Treatment in Tampa, FL or Orlando, FL areas. I'm just learning about the keratin treatments and I'm wondering if it is safe for African-Americans to use. We have a different hair texture. After reading the posts, my concern is if the Peter Coppola treatment has been on the market long enough to be considered safe or safer than the Brazilian treatment? I don't want to get it done than 10 mos later its discovered that the aldehydes in the treatment are dangerous. If you hear any more news please let me know.

While personally searching for a consumer safe hair relaxer retexturizer, I ran across Caribbean Dream Relaxer retexturizer. I spoke to the owner/creator, Jesse Briggs, had the product applied to my hair, and I loved it. If you are interested in this great product to tame, de-frizz, straighten, or even create soft curls, please contact Caribbean Dream Relaxer at 1-800-734-2597. It is a product for licensed professionals; however, the company will refer you to a salon in your area.

Now I can finally wear my hair natural with ZERO FRIZZ even in super humid weather and when I blow dry it straight it takes me half the time it used to.I would definitely reccomend this treatment to anyone with curly or frizzy hair

Hi, I've heard about this Brazillian hair relaxer and see lots of wonderful comments from everyone on how well it works. I was just curious, what is the average price of this treatment? And do you have any recommendations as to where to get it done?
Thanks!

I had the Coppola system done about a month ago and couldn't be happier. I am a NYS licensed stylist and I was the model for the certification class that we had at my salon. I keep hearing people say that their salons use Coppola's system and they experienced burning and severe sore throats from the fumes, and I can't really believe it because Coppola's system has NO harsh smells at all... even when it's flat ironed. Anyway I know there are a bunch of different products out there, but so far, I like this one the best.

I got my brazilian treatment done last week with Nelly at Annabelle's Salon. She did a wonderful job. My hair was very dry and damaged. The treatment left my hair soft straight and shiny. After I did it I have gotten many compliments on my hair. I recommend this Nelly and Annabelle Salon to anyone. They were very perfectional and did a miracle on my hair.
