When Judge Arthur Cooperman handed down his somewhat oddly delivered verdict on April 25th that did not include the words "not guilty," many people following the Sean Bell trial assumed the case was over.

Are these people for real. They say that Shawn died for no reason. Does anyone remember that he did not stop when told to and rammed a vehicle trying to get away? There was a trial and there was no "guilty" verdict. In this country you are "not guilty until proven guilty". No one then or now wanted anyone to die, I belive this was a tragedy but that is all. People have to move on and try get on with their lives. This can consume them.

What amazes me is Reverand Sharpton. He gets on his soap box for every little thing that happens. Yes, what happened to Sean Bell was horrible, and what happened with the Rutgers' University basketball team was awful, too, but Mr. Sharpton fails to realize that there are two sides to every story. I think the final judgment is left to the Almighty. And maybe they can face the true justice in life.

The city is being sued by his fiancee and children, maybe also by his parents. These settlements are usually based on potential lifetime income that has now been lost. I never saw any articles that mentioned that Sean Bell had any job. Did he?

Sharpton only rattles on when he can get followers. You are all right...what about the attempted murder charges for the 3 who ran into the Minivan 2xs, not once, but 2xs. And if they all swear they didn't know they were NYPD, then they were trying to kill inocent people! They were drunk and in a known drug zone. If he wasn't looking for trouble before his wedding, go somewhere else. And by the way, the future wife is not a Bell yet, didn't make it down the aisle and should stop being referred to as such.
Where is Sparton when a black kills a black, or a black beats on an old women to rob her, or a black beats his girlfriend, or a black when he does many of the things that land them on America's most wanted! What, those issues not of interest???? Just because someone is black, doesn't mean they have the right to do things wrong and everyone else has to pay!
When a Police officer says STOP, you stop, don't pass go do not collect money for nothing!!! You want to be equal, stop asking for handouts and breaking the same law others need to follow.
These officers did not go and kill him because he was black -- he was in a drug zone, driving drunk and didn't stop when told to do so. Therefore, he paid, unfortunate, but he put the officers in danger and if that was me, I would have done the same...training is, you have a split second to react and he got the reaction he forced!!!
All those protesting are only making it worse for their cause in the future. Go fight for a real cause!!! Rise in gas, guns killing children and the illegals getting rights that isn't deserved!!!!!!!!
