We don't drink the kool aid and get blinded by the "FLASH" and "MYSTIQUE" of Obama and that promise of CHANGE, you can see for yourself Obama is already changing his positions. Now which of his PROMISES do you think he is going to keep???? LOL

Obama says "I support the 2nd amendment but I do believe that gun control is needed." "Typical small town people who are bitter cling to their guns and religion". LOL.

Mr. Pearce DOES care about children & families in the MOST IMPORTANT WAY OF ALL. He is AGAINST the heinous act of abortion and partial birth abortion. Most folks don't even know what Partial Birth Abortion is -- educate yourself here:

Pearce and his ilk care about fetuses. They are not so fond of children after birth.

There are a lot of working single mothers with children that need help with child care. Many of these women do not get child support from the deadbeat fathers. At least they are working and trying to make a living. It is especially difficult if your are working for minimum wage. Yes there will always be people that will scam the government programs. I have heard many stories about people who lie and do whatever it takes to get Disability and SSI or other government assistance. There are so many people that really need assistance and are not able to receive it. No system is perfect but I do feel that if you are truly trying to make a living for your family and you need help it should be available. The United States helps other countries by sending them trillions of dollars. Let's help our own people.

Agree that we need to help our people but the fact of the matter is big problem is people who are on welfare and don't deserve it is a ever growing matter. These people get the benefits normally the way the system works before the people who truly need the socialistic benefits. Now, a recent survey by Nation Institute of Finance, "The American taxes will increase to help our citizens on welfare but the consequences will be higher taxes and less revenue for each American citizen on or not on welfare."

Thank you B-Lady your absolutely right, I am a hard working mother whom over the years has collected a whopping $15.17 a month from a dead beat father. Whether the deadbeat be male or female I think we need to make the penalties of being a deadbeat a hell of alot harder. These people need to wake up and see that it is thier responsibility to take care of thier financial responsibility to thier children

Thank you Hard Working Mom for pointing out mom's can be deadbeats too. I've been raising my two girls on my own for over two years after their mother beat them. Zero support, none. To boot, our spectacular judicial system still hasn't convicted her and still won't grant me a divorce. The laws here in New Mexico are actually pretty darn progressive in family law. We just have a pretty rough time getting Judges to actually enforce them. Personal issues aside, the number of deadbeats is actually dropping.

You might not drink that particular flavor of kool aid, but you totally drink another flavor of it - and that is just as bad and equally stupid.

Tax Credit it my mind means a Tax Cut. No where in the article does it states that our money is going to welfare queens and their offspring. Read the article Veteran & Ex Cop. It clearly states tax credits for WORKING families to offset child care costs. I find it disingenuous to say, we can't give targeted tax breaks to working families, but we can pi$$ off Taxpayers' monies to bailout corporate thieves like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns and other banks. The first two posters clearly are out of touch.
