Nursery programs allow imprisoned moms, newborns to bond

I think we shouldnt have these types of programs in our prison systems. This gives mothers a free pass of not doing time and besides why should an innocent child have to growup in prison knowing that his own moms a criminal and seeing how he is raised in that type of enviroment

hmmmmm...hard to make a decision on this topic. There is something to be said about having that early bonding time with the child, and if the mother is getting out soon, then maybe it's not such a bad thing. IDK..i'll need to think this one over for awhile.

Well honestly all i can say as a Republican right winger that i am, i feel there should not be any bonding time between the mother and her newborn infant. Like i said before this is too lenient and too soft on punishing women inmates in our prison systems. Women prisoners are there to be punished, not be rehabilitated or parenting their children. Why should their child have to suffer all because their moms a criminal by being raised in a jail cell? A better solution for all prison mothers who want to be rehabilitated is send all there asses in a hot broiling prison chaingang while being strapped to a heavy ball of chain the old fashion way. Our prison systems are getting too soft when we allow female inmates to just get a easy way out of not serving a punishment

giving programs to prison moms of raising their kids is undermining the whole meaning of punishment. Take one goodlook at South America's prison systems and you can see they dont give inmates a free picnic. Naw in every third world country and Mexican prison systems, they arent too liberal like our prisons in the US

To me these nursery programs are a bunch of liberal garbage. You dont see this kind of sh*t in foreign country prison systems, just throw there butts in a cell and let them rot for all i care. It would be one less scumbag on the streets harming others, a newborn child deserves way better then to be treated like a future criminal. This is exactly why i cant stand liberal/democrats, they are not only controlling, but they are too lenient. Give a women prisoner a easy way out of punishment and its all behind these feminist thinkers who give special privaleges to them only because of their gender

I do not believe my eyes! Of course this is a good idea. Children who don't bond with other humans experience many problems when they grow up....Good parenting, including early bonding, contributes to a child's mental health and both physical and emotional help.

There are several studies that suuport this, but you can easily look into the backgrounds of criminals and mal-adjusted individuals to see most did not form strong supportive relationships as kids.

No its not a good idea smart one, this is all a bunch of liberal garbage hocus pocus, why should a child growup in a prison cell as if he/she is a criminal ha?? Its not the childs fault that the mother is a criminal, and like i said before giving women these nursery programs is giving her an opportunity to not serve her punishment. Prison is a punishment my freind, not a school, and kids who growup in these types of enviroment will see how much of a loser their mom is and go through life knowing they are criminals themselves. My idea that if i were president of the United States of America would be to round up all these women inmates and let them serve time in a Russian gulag. Or either that, just simply work their asses off in a hot broiling chaingang where they will be strapped like animals that they wanna be. Our prison are already too softhearted as it is by giving criminals weights, basketball and TV. No throw these people in an Alaskan Gulag or Russian Gulag where they will be working constantly like slaves. They wont have time to think or goof off since the hard work laborer would keep them on their feets 247. Working them in prison laborer will make them so tired that by the time women inmates get out of prison, they wont wanna comeback. You see Smart One, your idea's are too liberal for our prison systems, yeah lets live by your rules and when these ex-cons get released, they comeback like its a Sheraton hotel

well, since 'sean the republican' has basically monopolized this thread, and is going to argue with anyone who has an opinion, i shall move on to other areas of concern.
