I spent the night in Bismark while traveling cross country this last summer. I have visited all 50 states and 36 countries and can CLEARLY say that Bismark North Dakota is, BY FAR, the friendliest place I have ever been! It is even friendlier than Freemantle Australia and Green Bay Wisconsin. The people there make the very nice people in the South seem rude. If I were moving out of state for a job, Bismark would be the FIRST choice!

I could not agree more with the fine people of North Dakota. And I hope Janet Morgan likes her new job, I really do. But when the winter heating bills come and she finds out that $9.00 per hour will not even pay to keep her home from freezing she might wish she had stayed in Ohio.
North Dakota is short of workers for a very good reason. People find it very hard to get by up there. Guinner South Dakota has a very high unemployment rate but the people know they can't take these $9.00 jobs because it's not enough to get by on. |
